Can I do Ph.D from any recognized university? I have completed PG with 54.66%


I complete P.G. with 54.66% in zoology and i am OBC candidate, can i do p.hd. from any recognized university?

Yes,you are eligible to do Ph.D from any recognized university after securing
54.66% in PG degree.

The academic qualification required to apply for the Ph.D degree is Master's degree from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks for General category and 50% marks for the SC/ST candidates.

Admission to the Ph.D course is carried out based on the entrance exams in some universities and in some other universities without the entrance exam.

You have completed M.Sc degree with 54.66% from a recognized university so you are not eligible for Ph.D course.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree from a recognized university are eligible for Ph.D entrance exam. General and OBC candidates should hold 55% and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

Your age should be below 28 years for JRF post.
