Can I do Ph.D in IIT after doing master degree in Counseling Psychology? Should I take GATE exam for Ph.d program?


1) Can I do Phd in IIT? I have done my master degree in Counseling Psychology.
2) Should I take GATE exam for the Phd program?
3) I have scored CGPA 2.58/4. Am I eligible for Phd in IIT?
4) If not, Should I take any exam to tally my credits?

-> GATE exam is conducted for people who wants to do M.tech and secure job in PSU's.
-> Ph.D :- Doctor of Philosophy , is awarded to scientist,professor or researcher .
-> There is no entrance exam for Ph.D , it is based on projects you do and research.
