how can help gate exam for p.hd in iit's? and when the calling made for phd in iit's? and what are the procedure for studying phd in iit's?

Dear friend
If you are willing to do PhD from an IIT, then GATE is the right way to make it done. GATE is the only way to get admission in IITs for master and doctoral programs.
The examination ie GATE, held in feb every year and result get published in the month of march. You can apply to any IIT or IIS of your interest that offers PhD in your subject.
The eligibility criteria is based on CGPA, GATE Score and Gate rank.

P.hd Directly After B.Tech through GATE

B.tech/B.E. candidate does'nt required to write CSIR-UGC-NET.

CSIR has a special criteria for that.B.tech/B.E. candidates can directly persue P.hd with JRF from CSIR.

If he/she had appeared for GATE and must have valid and Very good GATE score along with Verg good percentile.

This is a special criteria which CSIR has for B.tech students.Which ia popular with the name GATE-JRF.The candidate will b given oppurtunity to persue P.hd (JRF) directly going through M.Tech of 1 year is also available from IIT's or IISC or NIT's or other institutes of national importance.

The eligible candidates will recieve call letter which is known as "Award letter" from the Director of CSIR laboratories.

GATE exam is meant for the admission into various institutes all over India to admit students for various higher degree programs including the doctoral one's .

You need to give the test with a score around 630 ( last year cutoff ) to get admitted to IITs and IISCs .

Separate IITs does invites applications for various Phd as well as MS programs .

This year to apply for IIT madras the opening and closing dates was 28th february to 24th march respectively .

To apply you need to satisfy the eligibility criteria's along with educational qualifications .

The advertisement for recruitment to IIT madras is given on this website , just go though it ..

and if you are willing to do phd from iit then you must go defenitly go for gate exam
that will provide you jrf
