i have completed masters in english with 60% marks.presently i am teaching in a school.can i do phd through correspondence?plz help me with the names of such universities and the procedure...

Yes you can go for PhD through correspondence. You can also fill the form of UGC JRF examination. In this you can go for PhD course through good universities as well as Lecturer post in any university in India.

The eligibility criteria for JRF exam is 55% and above marks in Master degree and maximum 28 years age. If you are above than 28 years of age then you cannot go for JRF exam.

But if you want to go for corrspondence PhD course without NET exam then you can go for these universities:-

1. Indira Gandhi National Open University IGNOU by entrance test.
2. Periyar University PRIDE.
3. M S University.
4. Annamalai university.
5. Karnataka State Open University KSOU.
