YES, you are eligible to apply for the SCRA exams.
Education required to apply for the SCRA exams is: 12th Class or Intermediate pass with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry in class 12th. OR Graduation pass with subjects Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry Age- Minimum 17 years Maximum 21 years OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations Scheme of SCRA examinations: General Ability Test (English, General Knowledge and Psychological Test) Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) Mathematics |

The acronym SCRA stands for the Special Class Railway apprentice exam.This entrance exam is conducted once every year by the UPSC. Eligibility criteria for the SCRA entrance exam: >>You must have done your 10+2 from a recognized board with physics ,chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects. >>10+2 appearing candidates can also go for the SCRA exam. SCRA is Special Class Railway Apprentice and this exam is organised by UPSC.
Minimum qualification required for SCRA exam is 10+2 with Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board of education. As you have mentioned that you are in 2nd year of Intermediate or 10+2 but you haven't given the subject combination you are studying. If you have studied above subjects in 10+2 then no problem you can apply for SCRA exam. Age Limit : Should be between 17 to 21 years when applying for the exam. There will be age relaxation according to the government rules if you belong to reserved category. Exam Pattern: Written Exam: It will have 3 paper papers viz General Ability, Physical Sciences and Maths. Each paper will be of 2 hours duration and will carry 200 marks each. Interview: This will be the 2nd stage and you have to clear written exam to become eligible for this stage. This will be of 200 marks. hello friends,
the minimum eligibility for SCRA exam is inter pass.you should have at one subject among these physics, chemistry & mathematics.the age limit is 17-21.after these formalities you should fill the farm.you can face the exam. *if you beat the exam then you called for the interview. if you clear the interview,then you will go to mechanical training.after complete the training , you will get a certificate which is certified by all India council for technical education. after complete the 4 year training, the candidate join as Indian railway services of mechanical engineers.... thank you |

SCRA exam means Special Class Railway Apprentice examination. This exam is conducted by Union Public Services Commission(U.P.S.C) to recruit candidates in Indian railway. Eligibility Conditions:- >> Candidate Must Be Indian Citizen. >> Candidate Must Have Passed Intermediate Exam With First/Second Class From Recognized Board. >> Candidate Must Have Studied Mathematics & At Least One Subject Form Physics/Chemistry In Intermediate Level. >> Minimum Age Required Is 17 Years To Appear In The Exam. >> A Candidate Must Not Attain The Age Of 21 Years. >> Upper Age Limit Is Relaxed For Sc/St , Obc Candidates. >> Sc/St- 5 Years, Obc- 3 Years Relaxed Upper Age Limit. >> Candidate Must Be Physically Fit. Exam Pattern:- Exam Goes On Two Stages. 1)Written test 2)Personal interview Written test consists of 3 objective papers. Each paper having 200 marks. Total mark in personality test is 200 marks. You can apply for Special Class Railway Apprentices(SCRA) examination after passing intermediate. It is an all India entrance Examination conducted by UPSC every year; Qualification for SCRA: -> Candidate have to pass Class XII or equivalent examination form any recognized board. -> Candidate have to study Physics,Chemistry,Mathematics in 10+2. -> Age of the candidate must not less than 17 years and greater than 21 years on the year of examination.3 years age relaxation for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST. -> Only citizen of Indian and subject of Nepal or Bhutan can apply for SCRA. Selection Process in SCAR: -> Aptitude Test. -> Personality test. Date of SCAR Exam: -> Date of Notification- 5/10/2013. -> Last date of submission of Application form- 4/11/2013. -> date of Examination- 12/1/2014.
