Can I get admission in 2nd year for B.Tech after completing certificate course in machinist?


Can i get admission in 2nd year for B.Tech i have completed Certificate course in machinist in 2005 from IGTR Aurangabad after 10+2 PCM Having exp. 6 years. please confirm ?

B.Tech stands for Bachelor of Technology. It is a four-year undergraduate degree course in the field of Technology. Candidates who have passed 12th standard with PCM stream or three years Diploma in Engineering course from a Government recognised board/ institute are eligible to pursue B.Tech course.

You are not eligible to get admission in 2nd year of B.Tech course after completion of Machinist Certificate course. Only candidates who have passed three years Diploma in Engineering course or B.Sc. with Mathematics as a subject are eligible to get admission in 2nd year of B.Tech course.

As per the information you have provided in your query, you have passed 12th standard with PCM stream, so, you are eligible to get admission only in first year of B.Tech course by appearing and qualifying the National or State level engineering entrance examination.
