I have secured 94.2% in12th cbse board. can i get admission in any good enginering college?

If you say good engineering colleges in India then it means
IITs
NITs
BITS Pilani
and other state government institution etc.

These institutions don't allow admission on the basis of marks in 12th.
(Only BITS Pilani allow direct admission for topper of various 12th boards)

Therefore you must qualify their entrance exams to secure your admission in these colleges.

As your marks in 12th above 90% I expect you to be very talented one so it won't
be much difficult for you qualify the entrance exams like IIT-JEE, AIEEE, BITSAT etc.

So prepare and perform well in the entrance exams and try to get admission in
one of these institutions.

If you had mentioned you state, it would become easy to guide you. This year a lot of good private colleges in different states are offering direct admission based on board exam. Eligibility criteria starts from minimum 70% in the board exam. So, if you are interested in private colleges then you should look into their websites as fast as possible. You can apply online also. There is very little time for this. Submitting application period for direct admission in many colleges are over. And another thing I would like to mention that your fees will be much higher than as usual if you take direct admission.
If you want to admit into top colleges like IITs, NITs and other govt. colleges, it won't be possible for you to take direct admission on the basis of your board exam marks. As you are a good student, you should have written entrance exams like IIT jee, AIEEE, BITSAT etc.
If you haven't then don't worry, you can drop for one year and appear for this exams next year. As you are a meritorious student and you want to go for engineering, it is wise write this exam next year and land into top institutions.
So relax and take decision what you want to do.

Your marks is very good.

But you have to secure that much good marks in the various entrance exams taking place all over India to get admission in good engineering colleges like NITs,IITs etc.

For that you have to sit in all India exams like AIEEE, IIT or state level exams for the state from where you belong.

But the preparation for that exam should have been started while reading in class 11.

And you have not mentioned any such preparations in your question.

Are you talking about those colleges which offers direct admission??

Then BITS pilani is one of them, which takes admission of students on the basis of 12th marks.

But it is still advisable to prepare for entrance exams.

So prepare now.....

Scoring 94.2% is very good.But to get admission to good engineering colleges based on 12th class marks is not possible except in Bits Pilani which gives direct entry to topper of CBSE ,ICSE and other boards .

There are many good engineering colleges like IIT'S,NIT'S,IIIT'S and other private or state government colleges and to get admission to theses colleges you have take exam either at a national level or state level .

Like for IIT'S you have to take IIT JEE exam which a students can give only twice .
For NIT'S you have to take AIEEE exam .

Both these exams are conducted in national level.

Other then this there are various state level exam like UPTU which you can take to get admission to state best colleges .And many private colleges have their own entrance exam like BITS Pilani have it own entrance exam .

So to get admission to good colleges you have to take entrance exam .

ya you can get into good and best engineering collages wit your %. but the main thing is that you have write some entrance exam`s like eamcet.... if you secure good rank in that test also then no one can stop you in getting in to great and good collages of engineering

see, good marks will not a matter to get chance in a good Engineering college after securing 94.2% in 12th from CBSE Board.

to get chance in a good Engineering college after 12th, you have to give JOINT entrance exam.
it may be AIEEE , IIT-JEE, JEE-PTU, WBJEEE, or others.

so after cracking above you will be get good engineering college to get admission.

First of all congratulations for your Good marks in class 12th.
There are very few Engineering colleges which takes direct admission through management quota.The fees is almost doubled or more.

The Best option is to sit for IITJEE,AIEEE or any state level Engineering entrance exam and then take admission according to your Rank.

look almost all the top engineering colleges have certain entrance test which must be given on the basis of which a student gets a seat in any college....
well if you want direct admission on the basis of your 12 marks then you may seek to BITS
otherwise for every college you need to score good in the entrance exams , like iit, aieee

both form comes in month of december
and exam will held in april

+ 2 board marks have less weightage as compared to entrance test

You have scored a very good score in AISSCE but my dear friend this score is not going to help you in getting admission in a good Engineering college such as IIT's, NIT's, IIIT's etc.


Because in all these colleges the seats are filled on the basis of competitive exams such as-

1. IIT JEE for different IIT's and IT BHU.

2. AIEEE for all the NIT's and BITS Mesra, BITS Ranchi etc.

3. BITSAT for BITS Pilani.

So, to get admission in these colleges you will have to score a good rank in the above mentioned exams. And you have to get a very good rank.

But still there are some private colleges in which the seats are filled by the scores in 12th exam.

4)State Government colleges with good infrastructure.

your 12th class marks will not help in getting admission in a good engineering college like nit or iit because these colleges don't give admission on the basis of 12th class marks. you will have to give an entrance exam of aieee or iit jee. if you score very good marks in these exams, then only you will get admission in the desired college. but these exams are not so easy. they need a lot of hardwork and determination.

It depends upon what rank you have got in entrance examination.
If you got good rank then you get good enginering college.

Only attaining 94.2% is not enough to get a perfect college of engineering.
You need to give an entrance exam to get admission in any college.
For example:-
To get admit in IITs, you need to give IIT-JEE
To get admit in NITs, you need to give AIEEE
To get admit in State Colleges, you need to give your State Entrance Examinations.
Likewise private engineering universities have their own private exams like SRMEE, VITEE, etc.
However, AIEEE, IITJEE has been merged to ISEET

first of all you have to appear in engineering entrance examination if you u ranked well then you will got chance in better college, some college provides management quota through which any 12th pass science student can get chance to get admission on that particular college but the condition is you have to pay a huge amount of money for it...

another way is also there, if u r a polytechnic student then after completing the course u can appear JELET exam for admission in 2nd year of b tech course..

you will get chance to admit in b tech college by appearing counselling procedure conducted by government , but you have to have good rank to get get chance in your favorite college

I have secured 94.2 marks in 12 class cbse . MY JEE(mains) marks were 105 on self study at home whereas cutoff was 115. I am also selected in ICAR. does ICAR is a good option or not?
