After completing your diploma, you can get admission in second year of degree in engineering which is provided by some of the regional engineering colleges of state.
But you have to appear in the entrance test conducted by various state university
like DU, PU, or central government like AIEEE. after clear this exams, you will get
admission in degree course in mechanical engineering.........

u can take admission in the degree after completing diploma by giving the state engineering entrance exam of any state

After Completing Diploma Engineering you have maninly Two options available for persuing B.Tech.

1) You are eligible to appear for some famous engineering entrance exams, basically AIEEE, IITJEE and few more. But best option is to opt for AIEEE. After Diploma in Mechanical you dont have to struggle much to crack AIEEE, thats because you will find almost 50% syllabus same as you have studied in Diploma.

2) Other best option is Lateral Entry Scheme, which is specially meant for Diploma or B.Sc degree holder. In this scheme an Entrance is conducted by more or less every state Government which have there own Higher Secondary Board. This entrance is a state level competetion Diploma or degree holders can appear for it and after cracking it they can find admission into Government as well as Private Engineering colleges locsted in that state.

For example- West Bengal conducts JELET for the same purpose.

There is also 3rd option availble.

3) Few private institutes provide Direct admission on the basis of aggregate in Diploma like- IGNOU, Millia Institute of Technology, and a Number of Institutes in Bangalore are available for this purpose, and even one of the option is switch to Bangalore there you would find direct admission into goood private institutes.

If you have completed diploma engineering, you are eligible for securing admission to the degree program through lateral entry scheme, that is you can get directly to the second year of Btech course. Universities usually notify separately for admission to the lateral entry program and your diploma marks will be vital for admissions.

There are many government jobs open to graduates like in Railways, Public sector Banks, Defense, Police and Civil administration. However more lucrative scopes are available in private sector in terms of remuneration and other facilities in the face of liberalization and globalization.

hallo sir,i pass my diploma mechanical in nov/dec-2008 from gujarat. i want 2 study in degree.so wht is the process. i dnt give any enterence exam. i m not 12th pass.so which enterence exam i would pass. or will i get direct admisson? plz explain me sir.and online admisson is open? / close?

Well if you dont want to appear for CET dont do. But in that condition you wont get Admission there you have to Migrate to Banglore, Orissa.

Thats because with out Entrance only that two Places can get you admission. Yeas if you have scored well in your 10th board basically in Science Group then you can get Direct admission to some good private colleges there like- The Oxford, Rammaiya etc.

Otherwise in states like- West Bengal, Maharastra, Gujrat etc. you cant find direct admission very tough.

you can take admission in 2nd year of btech directly. For this you will have to give lateral entry exam of your state. If you get good marks in that exam then you will get admission in good college.

sir i'm doing diploma in c.s. branch;can i take direct addmisssion in NIT's after that?
if yes then how & if no then tell me the process of taking admission in NIT.
can i change the branch after completing diploma in other branch.
also tell me that the paper after dipoma or after 12th is same or not.
pls help me in this matter.

u can get admission in degree, for that u have to give lateral entry exam..

there are different types of lateral exams are conducted by different state..

so after giving this type of lateral entry exam u can get admission in btech 3rd semester directly..

the students are getting admitted in different colleges by their rank in lateral

For gettig admission in degree after completing diploma.

You have to give lateral entry exam. If you crack the exam

then you get admission directly in second year of degree

course. If you are not crack the exam then also you get

admission directly in second year of degree course through

management quota.

there r many process to take admission in b.tech after completing diploma.
there r many exams taken for b.tech admission.
1.jellet:-through this exam u can take entry directly in b.tech 2nd yr.this exam is conducted in final yr of diploma.this exam is generally taken in the month of June.this exam only taken in west bengal.
2.JEE:-through this exam u can take entry in degree 1st yr.to sit in this exam ur age will be between 21.
3.iit jee:-though this exam u can take admission in 1st yr iit.
etc.
so take decission & make ur bright future.

Soon after the completion of your diploma you can join your degree by entrance exams like

1.AIEEE
2. IIT-JEE

Write AIEEE & CET exams... you will get B.E seat and will be admitted to 2nd year directly....

after AIEEE do i get admission in 2nd year engineering.IS paper for AIEEE for diploma and 12th pass students same.

to get admission in degree after diploma you have to appear in test conducted

by different colleges for lateral entry there are various universities which allows

student from diploma to continue studies for degree

one of them is DCE now DTE

Hey ,
Its so easy.
Every state conduct their exam for diploma student for lateral entry in the 2nd year of degree course. Like West bengal conduct JLET.
You can also sit for aieee.
Study hard and make a good result in one of it as only 10% of seats are available for lateral entry in any college.
Try to get into good college....

By the diploma certificate you can do BE degree.many institutions offering lateral entry. so that you can enter directly enter into second year of BE degree.
