Dear spsc Kumar,

Admission process in VIT university is done on the basis of the rank obtained in VITEEE and not by the marks obtained in the exam.Also, the VITEEE results only display the ran of the students and not their marks so there is no way to relate the marks with an estimate rank.

If you have obtained a rank of under 20000, you are selected for counselling scheduled from 14th may,2012 till 19th may 2012.

I am sorry to inform you that getting admission in VIT university with 48096 rank is not possible through merit.
The top 20000 rankers have been called for counselling this year and it is estimated that all seats will be occupied within the first 20000 students itself.

If you are really interested in joining VIT university, you may find out about about the management quota by contacting the VIT university

Also, you have the choice to try for other deemed universitites such as BITS,SRM,Manipal, etc amongst all others.
