Application Forms of VITEEE Entrance Exam
The Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam is an entrance exam for B.Tech in the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must have passed the standard XII exam with a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, chemistry and Mathematics. For the candidates who belong in the SC/ST category, the minimum marks to be scored are 50%. Those who have applied for B.Tech in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Biomedical course must have studied either PCM or PCB in the XII standard and have scored a minimum of 60% marks in it. Candidates who are appearing for the XII exams in 2011 are also eligible to apply.
Application Procedure
The applications are issued in the month of December.
Online application
The candidates should first get a demand draft for Rs. 750/- drawn in favor of VIT, payable at Vellore. They should then log on to the website of the university. They must fill in their personal details. After the registration, they will receive their VIT-ID. On receiving it, they can fill in their educational details and personal data. After printing it, they should then paste a recent photo on the form and get it signed by their parents and lastly have the head of the Institute they last studied, attest it. Candidates then must send the signed “Payment Advice Form” and DD to VIT. After ten days, the registration of the candidate will be confirmed by mail. They can then print the admit card for the entrance test. It is important that the candidate must keep a photocopy of the Advice Form for their reference.
Offline application
The application form can be obtained from the chosen branches of Post Offices on cash payment of 750/-. Another option available is to send a DD to VIT University. Along with the DD the candidates are required to send a covering letter with the complete postal address. The DD should be payable to the Admission Officer, Vellore. It can also be acquired in person at the University or at the Chennai Administrative office. The filled application form has to be submitted to the VIT office without delay. The town/city which the candidate prefers to write the exam must be indicated in block letters against the correct box which is provided for this purpose in the form. Applications received after the due date will not be encouraged. A photocopy of the application form must be retained by the candidate for future reference. The examination center will be notified by the VIT authorities later. Change for examination centre will not be entertained.
Filling the Application Form
A few important things to be noted while filling the form:
- Before posting the application form, the candidates must ensure that they have completed the form with all the relevant information.
- Details like the attested photograph, complete postal address to which the communication is to be sent, the correct STD code and your Mobile and Phone numbers, correct e-mail address, Test City Code etc have to be checked again.
- The candidates must make sure that they have photocopy of their application.

What should a private cbse candidate fill in “NAME OF SCHOOL” , & school address in VITEEE application form

I would like to know, that this college is owned by govt or any private party . if private is this college recogonised by govt
what are the total charges (fees,hostel fees, food all examination charges etc) for four years. and how much seets in b.tec biotechnology.
