my rank in vit -12 is 17031 but due to illness of my father, i could not attend my conselling on due date ie on 18/05/12.can i get another chance to get a seat in vit

i need to know whether it will be worth it if i take up a management seat in vellore if i have already booked an ECE seat in chennai....i will hav to pay around 7 lacs more but money is not much of an issue....the issue is whether the change will be worth it....take into consideration campus life & placements(chennai is only 2 years old) & the possible development of the chennai campus in terms of campus infrastructure & brand value for placement in 4 years time....please tell me whether the risk i take if i go to chennai will be worth it in the long run or if vellore is still the safe bet and guarenteed better than chennai still after 4 years thank you

VIT University or VIT, formerly called Vellore Engineering College, is a private university in Tamil Nadu, India.
