UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission which conducts various recruitment
exams for central government jobs. Among all the examinations there are two exams which one can apply for after 12th. Special Class Railway Apprentice examination (SCRA) The age limitation for this examination is 17-21 years. The upper age limit indicates the age requirement at the time of commencement of training. The notification for SCRA 2013 should be available by October 2012. You can apply for the exam. If you qualify the exam then your qualification shall remain valid only if you pass 10+2 with first or second division. N.D.A. & N.A. Examination This examination is conducted by UPSC for appointment in officer category in Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. The age limit for this exam is 16.5 to 19 years. You are required to have passed 10+2. If you specifically want to go in Indian Navy or Air Force then you should have Maths. and Physics in 10+2 otherwise there is no such restriction if you wish to join Indian Army through this exam. There is no percentage restriction. Like SCRA, you can also apply for NDA exam during class 12. The age limitations mentioned above are indicative only. You can applay upsc exam after 12 th with non medical strem. The Constituent Assembly, after independence, saw the need for giving a secure and autonomous status to Public Service Commissions both at Federal and Provincial levels for ensuring unbiased recruitment to Civil Services as also for protection of service interests. With the promulgation of the new Constitution for independent India on 26th January, 1950, the Federal Public Service Commission was accorded a constitutional status as an autonomous entity and given the title - Union Public Service Commission The systems, procedures and methods for recruitment to the various services are constantly reviewed in order to nurture and utilise the best |
