Yes of-course you can join CA course even after scoring 49.08% but to be frank enough that after scoring less % you should not opt for CA. CA course is quite hard you need to work hard to clear the three stages.

I have completed my Bsc computer science in the year 2009 with 62%.Now iam 23 years old . I have decided to join the Ca course and have decided to take CPT in june 2012. My question is that even if I passed the CA-CPT,IPCC and final in single attempt I would be 28.If I searched job at this age do I get good opportunity as the guys who have passed in their 22's.I am planning to do CA instead of doing MBA in correspondance.I know CA is too tough but have the hope of clearing all the three stages.

I Have 54.80 %, I Can join the CA ? or what is the last date of CPT registration for June 2012.

I had secured 65%
in intermediate wit compartment. Am i eligible to write cpt?

Anyone can eligible for CA ,who pass 12th from any stream,you have to work hard, because 50% ,it seems that you are lower then average student, courses duration 4 years.

CA CPT 2013 Paper Pattern:-

CPT Examination is objective type test comprising of 4 subjects which are: -
(a) Fundamentals of Accounting – 60 marks,
(b) Mercantile Laws – 40 marks,
(c) General Economics – 50 marks and
(d) Quantitative Aptitude - 50 marks.

You surely can apply for the Chartered Accountancy Course however you will have to appear for the Common Proficiency Test. Since your percentage in Bachelor of Commerce is less than 55 percent, you won't get exemption from appearing in Common Proficiency Test.

CA-CPT or Common Proficiency Test is conducted twice in a year. It is considered as first stage of Chartered Accountancy course. You will have to clear it for admission in IPCC.

There are four sections in Common Proficiency Test that are divided into two groups. You will have to score at least 30 percent marks in each group to clear the Common Proficiency Test. Below are the four sections:

1. Fundamentals of Accountancy

2. Economics

3. Mercantile Law

4. Quantitative Aptitude


Integrated Professional Competancy Course (IPCC)

Upon clearing the Common Proficiency Test you will have to take admission for the Integrated Professional Competancy Course (IPCC). This is the second stage of CA course. There are total of 7 papers in this group that are divided into two groups

1. Accounting

2. Business Laws,Ethics and Communication

3. Cost Accounting and Financial Management

4. Taxation

Group 2

5. Advanced Accounting

6. Auditing and Assurance

7. Information Technology and Strategic Management


Final Course

Last stage is known as Final Course. It is the toughest of three stages and every year very few candidates manages to clear it.

Yes You Can join CA stands for CHARTED ACCOUNTED course having completed CA course with 49.80% coz as far as Eligibility :
All those candidates who have passed their 10th class can registered with a ICAI institute .After passing class 12th you can appear for the CPT exam.
If you have completed your graduation then you can directly apply for the IPCC final level
