am passed my 2 with 66%.and am also medically fit.
and sir where can i get the forum of(IMA).

can I join indian military academy after passing 12th arts frm private school??

and age limit 5.4+..and weight is minimum 52kgs above
and should be perfect in all respects
like physically and mentally...
and need to pass in the entrance examination..

Union Public Service Commission will hold the combined defence services exam for admission to the following courses
Indian Military Academy
Indian Naval Academy
Air Force Academy
Officers Training Academy

Educational Qualification :

IMA & Officers Training Academy : degree of a recognized university or equivalent
Indian Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering for CDE & degree in Engineering or B.Sc
Air Force Academy : Degree of a recognized university or bachelor engineering

There is no percentage of marks criteria required for application to either NDA or CDS entrance exam.

After 12th one can join Indian Army through NDA(National Defence Academy) entrance exam but he is not eligible to join Indian Military Academy after 12th.

In order to join Indian Military Academy of CDS(Combined Defence Service) conducted by UPSC one has to crack CDS after Graduation Degree.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian unmarried Male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness.

Hi,

You had chosen a good career man.
Follow following steps :-
1)Fill the application form which come in Employment news (Rozgar samachar).for CDS Examination.
2) Prepare for exam it have sections like English ,Apptitude,Mental ability,GK,Simple Mathematics.
3) await for results on UPSC.gov.in.
4) If you are lucky one you will get a call letter for SSB which is Service Selection Board.
5)Its 5 day interview,mental ability,obstacles test.
6)If you get selected in conference then you will be chosen for medical test .
7)if you are selected you will have go to IMA Dehradun

Indian Military Academy is a wing of CDS(Combined Defence Service), the entrance exam is conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II after Graduation Degree without any percentage of marks criteria.

The eligible candidate wishing to join Indian Military Academy of CDS, must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical and Mental health.

So if you are interested for IMA, you have to first complete Graduation Degree and you will not be eligible for the same after 12th.

After 10+2 you can join NDA(National Defence Academy) so just apply for NDA Examination which is conducted by UPSC every year.

For Indian Military Academy you have to pass Graduation and then apply for CDS Examination.

So as for now you can apply for NDA Examination if you are willing to join Indian Defence as an Officer.

For NDA examination your age should be between 16.5 to 19 years and you must be an Indian Unmarried male.

For getting into NDA you have to pass examination with merit. For that you must be very well prepared then only you crack it.

The selection will be based on the performance in the written examination , SSB and Medical Examination.
