i am 24 years old now i am learn t. y. b.sc. can i aply for cds examination

Eligibility for CDS exam:-

Indian military academy:-

Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade..
Candidates age should be in between 19-24 years.

Air force academy:-

Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade but must have had maths and physics in 12th..
Age should be in between - 19-23 years.

Naval academy:-

Candidate must have complete the graduation in engineering field..
Age should be in between 19-22 years.


So, as per the eligibility your age should not be completed 24 years at the time of CDS exam 2012 then you can apply for Indian military academy section in CDS exam..

otherwise you will not be eligible..

Yes, You are Eligible To apply for CDS Examination !!

CDS Stands for Combined Defence Services examination and this examination is Conducted by UPSC, Twice in a year : CDS (I) and CDS (II), For this Year Both CDS Examination was already Completed and If your are Interested in This examination then please Fill the Online Application form Soon Before the Last date Because the Notification of Next year CDS (I) Examination was already Availiable in the UPSC Website.

The Notification was already Published on 29/Oct/2011 and the Online Registration was already Started, the last date of apply for CDS Examination Online : 28/Nov/2011.

The examination will be held on 12/Feb/2012.

Eligiblity Criteria :

Those Who are Interested in CDS Examination, may apply for These Academy-

>> IMA (Indian Military Academy)
>> Naval Academy
>> Air Force Academy
>> Officers Training Academy (OTA).

To apply for CDS Examination, You have to complete your Graduate degree course form a recognised University.

>> For IMA and OTA : You have to complete your Degree of a recognized University or equivalent

>> For Naval Academy : You must have Passed in your B.Sc Course with Physics and Mathematics OR Completed your Bachelor of Engineering degree course from a recognised University.

>> For Air Force Academy : You have to complete your B.Sc degree course with Physics and Mathematics OR completed your Engineering graduate degree course form a recognised University.

Final year appearing Candidates are also eligible to apply for CDS Examination.

Age Eligiblity Criteria :

>> For IMA : Only Unmarried male candidates between 19 to 24 years are eligible .

>> For Naval Academy: Your age should between 19 to 22 years

>> For Air Force Academy: Your age Should between 19 to 23 years

Yes, you are eligible for CDS(Common Defence Service) exam at the age of 24 years.

CDS exam is conducted by UPSC(union public service commission)

* Candidates should be a graduate from a recognized university
* Age limit must be within 19-22 years for Navy
* For Navy candidates should be a graduate in engineering from a recognized university.

* Age limit must be within 19-24 years for Army
* For army candidates should be a graduate from a recognized university.

This exam is conducted for candidate to join in Indian Military Academy, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force & Officer Training Academy

And as asked on whether you can apply for the exam at an age of 24 years old,yes that is possible as you satisfy the age limit needed for joining in forces of Indian Military Academy, Officer Training Academy

The age limit needed for joining in Indian Military Academy is 19-24 years

For joining in Officer Training Academy it is 19-25 years.

There are other qualifications which are needed to be satisfied along with the Age Limit are:

>> Nationality

>> Martial Status

>> Education Qualification

>> Physical Standard

Qualification Needed:

The candidate need to be a citizen of India

The Martial Status needed for the exam is that the candidate must be a unmarried male candidate.

For joining in OTA both married/unmarried male candidate is eligible.

The education qualification needed for joining in Indian Military Academy/Officer Training Academy is that the candidate must have completed a degree from a recognized university and that can be with a fair percentage and in any discipline.

Candidate need to be physically fit while appearing for the CDS Exam as it is very important.

If you satisfy all these criteria's then you can apply for the CDS Exam
