If your aim is to become IPS Officer in future then for this you have to complete your Graduate degree course in nay discipline from a recognized University.

This examination conducted every year and the examination is Divided into 2 sessions :

If you want to become I.P.S officer then you have to passing the graduation with any stream from recognized university.

I.P.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Soory friend, You are Not eligible to Apply for IAS/IPS Examination.

Because To become a IAS/IPS Officer, You need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university and your age should be 21 to 30 years. Final Year Graduate Candidates are also apply for this examination.

But After 12Th, No one Are eligible for IAS/IPS Examination, And If your aim is to become IAS/IPS Officer Then please complete your Graduate degree course and then you are eligible for IAS/IPS examination.

To become IAS/IPS Officer You have to apply for The UPSC Civil services examination, The Notification for This examination was declared every year in the month of February in the employment newspaper or in the UPSC Official website. What you are asking is not possible. The criteria for Civil Services Examination is set by the Union Public Service Commission. And this criteria is not changed or given relaxation under any circumstances.

To apply for Indian Police Service, you should have graduation degree. It does not matter whether you belong to General/OBC/SC/ST. This criteria will remain the same.

Therefore I will suggest you to complete graduation after the 12th standard. There are various courses that you can apply for. It will depend on the subjects that you have taken in 12th standard.

ips stands for indian police service , its exam is conducted by upsc,

as you are in class 12th you can't join ips after 12th, minimum qualification is graduation from a recognised university

qualifications for ips :

1. candidate must be a indian citizen
2. must have completed graduation from a recognised university
3. age limit should be 21-30 yr for general candidate
4. obc allowed relaxation of 3 year
5.sc/st allowed reservation of 5 year

physical requirements :

height - 165 cm for male
150 for female

chest - 84 cm for male, 5 cm expansion allowed
female - - - -

selection procedure :
1.prelims
2.mains
3.interview and medical test


no of attempts

general - 4 attempt
obc- 7 attempt
sc/st- no limit but subject to age group

so, if you want to apply for ips then complete your graduation first

Join IPS

To join the prestigious Indian Police Service..you must be at least a graduate..so currently you are not eligible for IPS..

However..for your future reference..I am providing you the details regarding the procedure to join the IPS..

Candidates are recruited for the Indian Police Service shall be recruited through the Civil Services Examination..

To be eligible for the Civil Services Examination..you must have the following minimum qualifications :-

> You should be having a graduation degree from a recognized college (no percentage restriction)

> You need to be more than 21 years of age and less than 30 years..

> OBC candidates can appear till the age of 33 years and 35 years is the maximum age limit for SC/ST candidates..

> Max attempts allowed for general candidates is 4 and for OBC its 7 (no limit for SC/ST candidates)


There are 2 stages of the written examination :-

> CSAT :- 2 objective papers

> Mains :- 3 subjective papers based on English, General Studies and Essay writing..

After written examination..you will have to clear the :

> Personal Interview, and

> Physical Examination

There is no percentage requirement.

Age limit

You must be a citizen of India

For General Candidates 4 times

Height – Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm
