To join Marine Engineering course candidates is required qualify class XII wit Mathematics,Physics,Chemistry and English as compulsory subjects. Marine Engineering is the only branch of engineering where there is 100% emphasis on both practical skills and theoretical knowledge.Marine Engineering is an exciting and challenging field for those who are passionate about sea and are fond of working with tools. Even though waterways are comparatively less used for traveling, above 80% of the goods transportation happens through sea. courses offered: B.Tech(Marine Engineering) M.Tech (Marine Engineering) Duration: Duration of Marine Engineering Course in India is 4 years. Eligibility: The candidate should complete the 10+2 from recognized state board of India. Candidate need the Physics chemistry and Mathematics subjects compulsory. Candidates age is not more than of 20 years. Candidates must be secured with minimum 60% of marks in 12th standard. Final year candidates also eligible to apply. Marine Engineering Eligibility: Candidate should complete 10+2 from recognized state board of India. Candidate muste be in 12th standard with (Physicas,Chemistry and Mathematics) Subjects Candidates should be secure with 60% of marks in 12th standard it should be safe to the candidate. Final year candidates also eligible to apply. Candidate age must not more than 20 years. Duration is 4 years. Fee details: The fee structure of Marine Engineering varies from institute to institute. The amount of fees is as low as Rs. 220000 for the whole course in Indian Maritime University and is as high as Rs. 800000 in the HIMSAR. There are many govt. funded and self financed colleges which are providing this course as T. S. Chanakya, College of Engineering, HIMSAR (Haldia Institute of Maritime Studies and Research), IIT Powai (Mumbai), Indian Marine College, Hyderabad. The amount of fees in T. S. Chanakya is Rs. 100000 per year; it is Rs. 85000 for the same course in HIMSAR, while Indian Maritime University charges only Rs. 220000 for the whole course. Fee structure of Marine Engineering varies from institute to institute. The amount of fees is as low as Rs. 220000 for the whole course in Indian Maritime University and is as high as Rs. 800000 in the HIMSAR.
