IAM 17 YEARS OLD. IAM STUDING IN CLASS 11TH Commerce stream. CAN I WRITE THE NDA exam GOING TO BE CONDUCTED ON 21ST OF THIS MONTH? PLEASE TELL ME, Sir/ Mam.

Sorry to say that you are not eligible to give NDA Exam just after passing 11th standard.



To join NDA, you have to pass or appeared in 12th standard then, you can give NDA Exam.

NDA:- National Defence Academy

There are three wings in NDA/-

>Indian Army
>Indian Air Force
>Indian Navy


NDA Exam is organized by UPSC two time a year normally as NDA-I & NDA-II Exam.

UPSC:- Union Public Service Commission


Eligibility criteria for NDA:
For Army- should be 12th passed in any stream from recognized school.
For Navy/Air Force- should be 12th passed with PCM subjects.
Candidate appearing in 12th standard are also eligible to appear in NDA exam.
Your Age should be in between 16 1/2 to 19 years. You must be an Indian.

You can’t attend NDA exam now. It is possible by next year, when you are studying in 12th class. For this you must be a male and must remain unmarried. Age must not be greater than 19 years. UPSC conducts the exam two times an year.

Unfortunately you are not Higher Secondary passed therefore you are not eligible to sit for the NDA Examination.

NDA stands for National Defense Academy. In order to join the Army, Navy and Air force wings of the National Defence Academy you have to sit for the NDA Examination. This exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.

This exam is conducted for twice a year by the UPSC every year in the months of April and September. While filling up the application form you need to state your preferences there as to which academy you want to join.

Eligibility Criteria:-

Nationality:-

You must be a citizen of India.

Educational Qualification:-

• To join the army wing you need to pass 12th class exam conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
  
• To join the air force or naval wing you need to pass 12th class exam with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Age Criteria:-

Your age should be between 16.5 and 19 years of age.

Selection Procedure:-

The selection procedure includes the following stages:

• Written Examination
• Intelligence and Personality Test by SSB.

Exam Pattern:-

The written exam consists of two papers:

1. Mathematics
2. General Ability Test

• For the former 300 marks have been allotted and for the latter 600 marks have been allotted. You will get 2.5 hours each to complete the two papers.
  
• Both the paper consists of objective questions only in the form of MCQs. Mathematics and GK paper will be set in both English and Hindi.
