Hi, i am a student of class 11. I am studying commerce stream with maths, I am a female. Can i appear for NDA exams? If yes, what are the subjects from which questions will be asked? when are the NDA examinations held? And how to prepare for this examination?

Yes, you can appear for NDA after studying in 12th Commerce with Math.

NDA - National Defence Academy, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian unmarried Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good physical and Mental Health.

Hence a candidate from Commerce stream, one can only be eligible to apply for Indian Army of NDA.

Nice to see your interest in the field of defence services. NDA is stand for the National Defence Academy. The NDA entrance examination is conducted twice in every year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the selection in the different wing of NDA. To appear in the NDA entrance examination you need the following eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria for NDA Examination.
--> Pass 12th class from a recognize board/University. The 12th board appearing student can also apply for the NDA examination.
--> The age must be between 16 1/2 to 19 years at the time of NDA entrance examination.

These are the basic eligibility criteria to appear in the NDA entrance examination. If you satisfy the above eligibility criteria then you are eligible to apply for the NDA examination. Yes you can apply for NDA examination if you have passed 10+2 with Commerce with Maths.

But you will be only eligible for Indian Army and will not be considered for Air Force and Navy through this NDA exam.

For Indian Air Force and Navy you should study 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

Age Limit for NDA:

Age must be between 16.5 to 19 years and only unmarried male are eligible to apply .

Selection Procedure:

-Objective Type Test

-SSB Interview

-Medical Examination

So be prepared for the above stages if you want to join Indian Army as an Officer.

NDA stand for National Defence Service Exam. NDA Examination is conducted in 3 wings-Indian Air Force ,Indian Navy and Indian Army

The candidate must have a complete the 12th from a recognized board Or equivalent qualification are applicable for NDA exam.

The candidate age should between 16.5 years to 19 years.There is no age relaxation for Sc/ST candidate . Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. You must have Citizenship of India.

No , Female candidate are not applicable for NDA Exam .

The selection procedure for NDA exam are Written Examination ,Medical Test ,Physical Test , Personnel Interview

Dear Harshita,

I am sorry to say but you are not eligible to write NDA Examination.

Only unmarried male candidates can apply for this examination.

However, you should not loose hope as you can still get into Indian Armed Forces by cracking CDS examination.

The minimum eligibility criteria for this examination is graduation.

I would suggest you to do your graduation with subjects Physics and Mathematics if you want to get into Air Force or Navy.

Female Candidates are not allowed to appear in the NDA exams

Below is the eligibilty to aply for the NDA exams:

Educational Qualifications:
Army Wing-12th Pass in any stream
Navy & Airforce Wing- 12th Pass with Subject Physics and Maths as subjects.

AGE-

Harshita Sharan sorry to say that being a Female candidate you can not apply for the NDA Examination because according to the Qualification Require for the NDA Exam is state that Only Unmarried Male candidate can apply for the NDA Exam.....

The Girls Candidate are not applicable for this exam because the Training for the NDA is quit Difficult and Hard so, Female candidate can't bare it. so, the only Male candidate can apply for it.....


This exam is conducted in three wings:-

2. Indian Navy
3. Indian Air Force

Eligibility and Criteria:-

Education :- At least 12th Science with Mathematics..

Age:- should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

Nationality:- Must be an Indian.

Marital Status:- Only Unmarried Male Candidate are applicable (No Girls are allowed).....

If you are still interested in the Indian Defense System then you can join CDS (Combined Defense Service) for that you have to completed at least your Graduation degree in any field......

Sorry , you are not Eligible for National Defence Academy exam because Female Candidates are not allowed to appear in the NDA exams...


NDA stands for National Defense Academy this exam is conducted by UPSC twice in Year in Month of June and December called NDA-II and NDA-I......

NDA exam is conducted in Three Wings:

1.Indian Army

2.Indian Navy

3.Indian Air Force


Eligibility and Criteria:

A candidate must have completed their 12th std from recognized Board are eligible for this exam...

Final years students of 12th std also eligible for NDA exam...

There is No any Percentages Requirement...

Age of candidate should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years...

No any Age Relaxation for Reserved category....

Only Unmarried Male are eligible for it.(Girls are not eligible for NDA exam)

A Candidate have nationality of INDIA...
