Yes, you can join Army through NDA. For this, you must be an unmarried male candidate. Your age must be between 16 ½ and 19 years. Applications and other details on exam can be collected from UPSC portal. Mathematics and general aptitude will be included under the syllabus for NDA.

NDA Stands for National Defence Academy examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year as namely NDA I and NDA II .

You are now in 11th standard so at this time you are not applicable for NDA exam but after completion 11th standard you are eligible to apply for NDA exam .Means when you are in 12th standard you can apply for NDA exam.

Because those candidate have completed 12th standard are applicable to apply in NDA exam .NDA Exam not require any kind of percentage marks in 12th .Final year candidate also can apply .

Your department is commerce so you are applicable only Indian Army Post .

But your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.There are no are no age relaxation for Reserved category . Only unmarried male candidate are applicable for NDA exam.You must have citizenship of India.

The selection procedure for NDA exam is 1) Written Test. 2) Physical Test 3)Medical Test 4) Personal Interview.

To apply for NDA one needs to be a 12th pass out. You are yet to get an H.S. degree. So i would ask you to first complete 12th standard first successfully and then look to apply for this examination.

Full form of NDA is National Defense Academy. This exam is twice conducted by the Union Public Service Commission in the months of April and September. This exam is for the candidates who are interested to pursue a career in defense and you can enter the following academies on successfully cracking this exam:- Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy.

In the application form you need to mention whether you want to join NDA or NA. Though you have the liberty to mention your preferences but ultimately which academy you will get depends on the score you secure. Now since you have commerce at 10+2 level therefore your options have become limited. You can only apply for Indian Military Academy only through NDA exam.

It should be remembered that this exam is only for the unmarried male citizens of India. During your stay in the academy you can't get married. So unfortunately girls cannot give this examination.

Indian Military Academy:- For the Indian Military Academy you just need to pass H.S. or its equivalent from a recognized board as mentioned earlier. Here your subject combination at 10+2 level does not matters.

Air Force Academy & Naval Academy:- You have to pass 12th standard successfully from a recognized board but in addition to that they need to have physics and mathematics as their compulsory subjects at 10+2 level.

Age Criteria:- The lower age limit for giving this exam is 16.5 years. The upper age limit is 19 years.

The selection procedure to give this exam includes:-

• Written Examination
• Physical Test by SSB
• Intelligence/Personality Test

Exam Pattern At A Glance:-

1. Mathematics (2.5 hours)- 300 marks
2. General Ability Test (2.5 hours)- 600 marks

General Ability Test includes questions from:-

1. Physics
2. Chemistry
3. Geography
4. General Science
5. History
6. Current Events

To Write NDA exam, you should pass 12th.

The Eligibility Criteria is ,

1.Nationality - citizen of India.

2.Age as per 2013- Only the Unmarried Male Candidates born not earlier than 2nd January,1995 and not later than 1st July ,1997 are eligible.

3.Educational Qualifications:

(i)For Army wing of NDA: 12th Class pass

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA: A candidate must have passed 12th with physics and mathematics subjects.

Not at all, you can't do NDA exam after passing 11th standard.

For giving NDA exam, you will have to finish your 12th standard with Commerce curriculum.

With Commerce curriculum, You can apply NDA exam but not for all wings only for Army wing.

Union Public Service Commission organizes NDA exam every year for two time in April and August months for the Army/Navy/Air Force wings.

If you are studying Commerce in Class 11th and 12th than you can only apply for the Army wing of the NDA exams

You do not need to learn Physics and Chemistry for applying to NDA

Commerce stream students cannot apply for the Airforce and Navy wing of the NDA Exams

Age to apply for the NDA exams is 16.5 to 19 years

Only Unmarried Male candidates can apply

I just completed my 1 art stream with 55%mark. Nw am doing 2 can i join army as an officer rank at national defance academy i qulified as rajapuraskar scout. Shall i get any consesion for that.

You can apply for NDA after completion of 10+2 with commerce stream. Commerce students are only eligible for Indian Army.

So you can join Indian Army through NDA examination. For Indian Navy and Air Force Physics and Maths subjects is needed for NDA exam.

There isn't any percentage criteria so don't worry about your 10+2 marks.

In NDA exam there is no concession of any kind for NCC and Scouts candidates.

Age Limit:

Age for NDA exam is 16.5 to 19 years. You should be an Indian citizen and an unmarried male.

Selection Procedure:

The selection is purely based on the performance in the written exam, SSB and Interview.
