Hai,

NET-National Eligibility Test.

NET exam conducted by the UGC(University Grants Commission) two times in a year.

NET exam has two types one is JRF(Junior Research Fellowship) and Lectureship.

Eligibility criteria:-

The applicant should be complete Master's graduation with atleast 55% of marks from a recognised university.

Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST category candidates.

Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Final year persuing students are also eligible.


Age criteria details for JRF:-

The maximum age limit is 28 years and no minimum age limit.

3 years upper age relaxation for OBC candidates,

5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.


Age criteria for Lectureship:-

No age limits for Lectureship applying candidates.


Exam fee details:-

Rs 450/- for General category,

Rs 225/- for OBC category,

Rs 110/- for SC/ST category candidates.

Hi friend..........

NET stands for National Eligibility Test.

This exam conducted by University Grant Commission.

Eligibility Criteria:


Candidate should be citizen of India.

Candidate should complete the Post Graduation from recognized University.

Candidate should have min 55% of marks in post Graduation.

5% of marks relaxation for other categories.

Final year pursuing candidates are also eligible for this exam.

Age limit:


There is no upper age limit for the candidate lectureship.

But the JRF candidates age limit should be not more than 28 years.

3 years relaxation for the OBC candidates.

5 years relaxation for the SC\ST candidates.

Exam fee details:-

Rs 450/- for General category,

Rs 225/- for OBC category,

Rs 110/- for SC/ST category candidates.

Age Limit:

The Educational Qualification required for NET exam is masters degree .Your masters degree marks must be above 55% . 5% marks relaxation is provide for SC/ST category.

You have completed MA degree in English through Distance Mode so you are applicable for NET Exam but your degree must be recognized.

There is a age criteria for Junior Research Fellowship .Your age should be below 28 years old. Age relaxation unto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC / ST / PWD / OBC .For the post of Lectureship , There is no upper age limit .

Last Date of Receipt of Application for UGC NET exam is 8 May, 2013 So this session is already over .You can try for next session for UGC NET Exam .

The Written Exam Date of UGC NET Exam is 30 June, 2013

For General candidates, the examination fee is Rs. 450/-; for Other Backward Classes fee is Rs. 225/- and for SC/ST/PWD candidates, it is Rs. 110/-. .

$$ Since, You have completed your M.A that is Master of Arts through a distance mode then YES you can definitely apply for this examination........

$$ A candidate must have completed their PG or Master with minimum 55% from the UGC Recognized Universities.....

$$ For Reserved category student relaxation up to 5% applicable....

$$ If you are applying for the Junior Research Fellowship post then your age should not exist at least 28 years.....

$$ For Lecturer Post there is No any age limit....
