Career After MSc in Instrumentation?
Respected Sir,
I am an M.Sc in instrumentation passed in august 2010. I have searched jobs in instrumentation but failed to get any job for freshers. Due to financial problem i can't continue my further studies. Industries require knowledge in PLC, SCADA. Companies provide training program on self support basis. Is there any company which can provide free training program? Or like is there any provision that after we get jobs we can pay the fees? Is there any free/cheap coaching centre for IAS and GATE. Can u suggest which subject will be benefited for IAS? |

Re: Career After MSc in Instrumentation?
Definitely you are facing a lot of problem but its better not to get disappointed & think it other way.If companies require knowledge then its better for you to get some similar job related to your field & gain some experience. No doubt you will get a lesser salary but something is better than nothing.Try to make contacts with the persons related to your field & they will definitely gives you the information of Cos. who provide such training. If possible assist the co. to provide u free training & promise them to provide them good services.
There are many cheap coaching centre that are intimated time to time in various newspapers for IAS & GATE.The subject related to your 12th stream will be benifitted to you as you have a good command on it. |

Re: Career After MSc in Instrumentation?
Dear friend,
You can search for the job in academics that is job as a lecturer, as you have done Master's degree in instrumentation. Look out for vacancy in the Govt or private institutes to join as an assistant lecturer. Get some information regarding your masters degree course from your friends who have knowledge in this field. Try some online search strategy also. All the best!! |

Re: Career After MSc in Instrumentation?
There are a lot of vacancies in market for M.Sc. Instrumentation.
Don't make impression of the course is bad. You go whereever B.E. Instrumentation suits. It is my observation that M.Sc. Instrumentation are more expert than a B. E. Instrumentation because of the practical knowledge in the course. Except the thing that the course M.Sc. Instrumentation is not so famous. |

Re: Career After MSc in Instrumentation?
Sorry frns Msc in Electronics/Instrumentation is not a valid course. Most of the companies only ask Diploma or Btech qualification. They think technical degree holders only have practical knowledge whereas Msc guys are like stupids.

CUSAT Instrumentation will be better choice.MSc instru makes u eligible for the jobs where Msc physics is required since it comes under applied physics branch too.

Re: Career After MSc in Instrumentation?
M.Sc Instrumentation in reputed university instead of M.Sc electronics from any college or institute which offers internship while doing your M.Sc is always better. The internship should be of at least 9 months- 1 yr (use vacation period after each semester, approach to the industries nearby). MSc Elec in university is always better than M.Sc instrumentation in Univ.
