i have done my graduation in Commerce ( B.com) and i am currently studying my masters in logistics and supply chain from uk , my DOB is 17th november 1987 , i want to know that do i have any option to serve my country in any aspects as in army , navy or airforce .? and if i can what are those options.

sorry friend but for joining indian navy, airforce. your should be science but you have commerce. you only have chances to join army on the basis of sportsmanship certificate.

Yes, you can serve the nation no doubt by appearing for the CDS exam which is conducted by UPSc each year.
Through this exam you can get admission to the training academy

Yes, you have option to serve the Indian army for it you can appear for CDS exam conducted by UPSC for more details visit the website of the commission www.upsc.gov.in

since you have completed your grduation you can be a pat of the indian defence sectors...the first step is written exam then you need to clear your SSB(service selection board ) interview to move further...for more details you can follow the link given below..

If you want to join defense, you can write CDS (combine defense service) exam. Since you are from commerce stream, you can go for army (not naval or air force).
The eligibility for this exam is degree for recognized university.
You can apply for this exam through online as well as offline (from post office). The last date for form submission is on 25th October, 2010. Please hurry my friend.

definately commerce students can join indian army Indian Air Force or Indian Navy after Commerce Graduation.

to join in amry Indian Air Force or Indian Navy after Commerce Graduation, you have to appear an qualify UPSC exam.

through UPSC exam, you can join in Indian army.

the criteria to attain in the UPSC exam is

minimum graduation in qualification with 55% marks.

age limit 21-29 years.

To join the Indian Army, Air force or Navy the candidate has have passed 12th standard with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject. Also the optional subjects could include Chemistry, Biology or Computer Science. If you have studied this during 12th standard then you are eligible.

As u are a commerce graduate there's a lot opportunity for u in the Armed forces.
U can go in any branch of Indian Airforce except the technical and flying.
In indian air force the branches available for u is Administration and Logistics.
both branches requires any graduation course with 60 % and age limit is 21 to 25.

To join Indian Airforce you should have taken engineering as your subject in graduation as technical knowledge is needed for it.
But you can join the indian army by appearing for CDS exam conducted by UPSC each year

hey i have got an happy news for you. you can join indian airforce with your qualification . there is seperate entry for groun duty officers this is specially for commerce graduates. you can apply for cet ie common entrace test for which notifcation will be displayed on march 2011.i am an bcom graduate and i have written this exam prety much easy for commerce students.check the www.career.indianairforce.nic.in you can check it out there.

Well friend since you are a graduate you can join Indian Defense By writing
the CDS..Combined Defense service Exam However since you are a graduate from commerce you will be eligible for Indian Army only as Naval forces want Engineering Degree
If you have Physics&Maths at plus two level then you can also Get IAF.
Further The age limit for CDS exam is::
19 -24 years for Indian Army
19-25 years for IAF
You must also fulfill the physical criteria.

As you are a graduate you can appear for C.D.S.E(combined defence services examination):

UPSC conducts the Examination (CDSE) twice every year for the recruitment of officers in Army, Air Force and Navy. Candidates qualifying the written test are interviewed by the Service Selection Board and if finally selected, depending upon their preference and position in the merit list, are sent to one of the following institutes for orientation training: -

(a) Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun

(b) Naval Academy, Goa

(c) Air Force Academy, Begumpet, Hyderabad

(d) Officers Training Academy, Chennai

PATTERN:

The examination includes a written test, and those who qualify the written test are called for interview by the Service Selection Boards. The written test comprises of three papers of 2 hours duration each. The first paper is on English and second and third is on general knowledge and elementary mathematics respectively.

AGE LIMIT:

Applicants for IMA, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy must be unmarried males in the age group 18-23 years, 20-23 years and 21-23 years, as on 1st July of the year of examination, respectively. Married applicants, in the age group of 17-24 years are also eligible for OTA.

How To Join the Indian Armed Forces After Graduation

In order to join the Indian Armed Forces..you need to clear the CDS (Combined Defense Services) exam

Eligibility Criteria :-

In order to appear for the CDS exam..you need to fulfill the following conditions :-

1) You should be a graduate (in science stream for joining the Indian Air Force or Navy)

2) You should be within the age limit of 19-23 years (19-25 years for Officers Training Academy)

3) You should be unmarried

Apart from these..you need to be physically fit and should have a perfect eyesight..

You need to first clear the written exam,then the interview and then the medical examination..

The forms are released in October and June and the examination is conducted in February and August,respectively..

Exam Pattern :-

The exam is objective type and it is a 300 marks paper which will have 3 sections

Basic Maths
English

Qualification:
B.E/B.Tech ( Engineering Branch/ Electrical Branch)
you must have 60% marks in aggregate (I-VIII semester) and must have their passing degree certificate for being eligible for commission in Indian Navy.

Age : age must be between 19 to 24 years (i.e. born between 02 July 1986 to 01 July 1991) with both dates inclusive.

Physical Standards: Minimum height-157cms for men with correlated weight . Eye Sight: 6/24,6/24 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses.you should not be color/night blind.
