i have got both colz iitb or iisc. i m confused which is best.

dear friend both colleges are the best colleges in india.

if you are interested in the research studies related to the aeronautical engineering or space engineering then IISC is the best college for you.

but if you are interested in the engineering courses other than the space science and aeronautical engineering then iit bombay is the best college for you .
you have to see your interest . because interest is important thing while doing engineering.

No clue which is better. I doubt the debate helps in any case. Very few students go to institute because they reall like to do what they want to do(this does not include me as I don't like to study). IITB, IISC or any other institute does not matter, if the student has real goals of achieving something. If he doesn't have that and depends on the institute to force him to achieve something(which most IITs do by the amount of pressure that I see gets put onto the student, one of the reason why IITB is topmost) Indian society and mentality is just degrading. Will like to see this change, where people would stop debating and competing with each other.
I think the difference between IITB and IISc that IITB is more pragmatic since it is a Technical institute and IISc is a Scientific institute. IITB is great at DBMS and compilers while IISc is better at more exotic subjects (like SuperComputing and Quantum Computation.

First of all congrats that you are getting an opportunity to study in any one of these colleges as both of these colleges are world class . But i would slightly edge in favor of IIT B as an iit is an iit and it is one of the best if not the best technical college in India . Statistics say that the toppers of the iit entrance exam prefer to join IIT B but it is also a fact that IISC is the 18th best college in the world in terms of science.

IISC if you have research program on plane then you go for this study.

if you choose engineering line then choose this.

choice is yours...........

IITB and IISC both are one of the best colleges in India...
But in my opinion IITB is the best.
