am in ic branch 8th sem with aggregate 58.75%
jst tell me which are the companies that are recruiting people like us on the basis of gate score???
Also tell me hv much iminimum score is necessary in gate xam?
Do we hv to fill application form of the particular company?
If yes then hw we can knw that the company form has been out.

you have scored very less marks in your B.Tech career.and company requirement are atleast 65% or 60% through out career. but in PSU some company like HAL,ONGC,NTPC,IOCL,BHEL requirs 65% aggregate marks.
and IFFCO,NFL requirs only 60%.

there are many company which recruits student through GATE score card.they do not take any written exam. after selection in GATE exam they call directly for GD,PI.
IOCL company are recruits this year through GATE.

see, if you will have gate score then it will be a very good option for you.

though you have a poor marks in btech.

as you know maximum company want minimum 60% marks in btech.

so, it will be better for you to do Mtech.

I am a final year BTech student from NITK Surathkal in Chem Engineering with a score pointer @ 8.2 to 8.5 on 10. I have a Gate rank of 399 in CH. I missed the IOC Advt for recruitement 2012. I would like to know the Gate cut off at these companies and othe Public sector companies which closed their application dates and those companies that would open up shortly for Chemical engineers and what would be their cut off GATE scores. Also let me know why there is no IES eligibility for Chemical engineers?
