Last year I have submitted my IIT JEE form & I received admit card also but for personal reason on April 10,2011 I did not given the entrance exam of IIT JEE. This year on April 08,2012 Iam going to give entrance exam of IIT JEE. I know that a candidate can give entrance exam of IIT a twice (two times).This year , is my first attempt or second attempt ? Please reply me, is this year is my last chance ?

I heared that iit changed the rule so I want to know about new rules .

IIT JEE Exam 2013 Pattern -

There will be 2 objective type papers. There will be three separate sections of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. the duration of each paper will be 3 hours. The candidates will be given an ORS-Optical Response Sheet in which they will have to darken the circles as per their choice of Answers

IIT JEE Exam 2013 Eligibility -

Only those candidate are eligible to give the exam who have passed intermediate with a minimum of 60%. however a relaxation of 5% i.e. 55% is required for SC/ST/PD/QE Category Candidates

Number of attempts

A candidate can attempt IIT JEE exam only 2 times in 2 consecutive years. More attempts will not be allowed.

Date of Birth -

The date of birth of the candidate should be on or after October 1,1988 A relaxation of 5 years will be given to C, ST and PD category candidates
The exam will be conducted on second sunday of the April. The application forms can be filled both online and offline. the application procedure starts in october-november. Online registration usually starts earlier than offline registration. the last date of application submission is usually in the first week of december.

Some changes may be made in the eligibility criteria However the IIT's have said that these changes will be made from 2015 only So we have to wait for the final decision yet.
