Re: Am I eligible to given IIT entrance exam after completion of diploma in mechanical engineering?
No, you are not eligible to appear for IIT JEE examination. JEE examination is conducted by CBSE and IIT.
The examination is conducted for admission of candidates in IIT, NIT and other government and private institution. The eligibility to appear for examination is candidate must have passed 10+2 from any recognised board with PCM as main paper. So, you are not eligible to appear for examination. But, you can pursue B.tech course after pursuing B.tech through LEET examination. |

No, you are not eligible to appear for JEE examination. JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination.
The examination is conducted in two stages as Main and Advance. Diploma passed candidates are not eligible to appear for examination. The eligibility to appear for JEE examination is :- Candidate must have passed 10+2 from any recogised board. Candidate must have PCM/PCB as main paper in 10+2. So, you are not eligible to appear for entrance examination and hence, not eligible to get admission in the IIT. For more information about the JEE visit at http://www.cbse.nic.in. |

Re: Am I eligible to given IIT entrance exam after completion of diploma in mechanical engineering?
● Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) is being conducted Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) once in year.
● Eligibility criteria for JEE is as follows : 1) Candidate must have completed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics from recognized educational board. 2) No current backlogs. 3) Candidate must be minimum 17 years old. ● As per above eligibitity criteria diploma holders are not eligible for IIT-JEE because diploma is not equivalent to 10+2 & also IIT doesn't offers lateral entry admissions for B.Tech. ● But you can get admission for B.Tech in another university colleges apart from IIT & NIT by lateral entry scheme. For that you need to go through LEET entrance examination. |

Re: Am I eligible to given IIT entrance exam after completion of diploma in mechanical engineering?
No, you are not eligible to appear in IIT entrance examination after completion of your three years Diploma course in Mechanical Engineering. Only candidates who have completed 12th standard with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects from a recognised board are eligible to appear in IIT entrance examination. Since, you have not pursued 12th standard, being a Diploma holder, you are not eligible to appear in IIT entrance examination.

Quote:
If you have completed 12th standard from a recognized board with physics, chemistry and mathematics with above 50% marks then you are eligible for IIT-JEE exam. 5% marks relaxation is provided for SC/ST category candidates. Your age should be in between 17 to 25 years. |

No you are not eligible for IIT JEE exam after diploma in mechanical engineering because IIT does not give lateral entry in 2nd year of course. But if your age does not become more than the age limit given in the IIT JEE then you can appear in IIT JEE otherwise it is not possible.
