Am I eligible to given IIT entrance exam after completion of diploma in mechanical engineering? I am 19 years old now. What is the minimum criteria which was followed? Can someone please provide me the complete information on this?

No, you are not eligible to appear for IIT JEE examination. JEE examination is conducted by CBSE and IIT.

The examination is conducted for admission of candidates in IIT, NIT and other government and private institution. The eligibility to appear for examination is candidate must have passed 10+2 from any recognised board with PCM as main paper.

So, you are not eligible to appear for examination. But, you can pursue B.tech course after pursuing B.tech through LEET examination.

Yes, diploma candidates are eligible for IIT entrance exam.

If you have completed 12th standard from a recognized board with physics, chemistry and mathematics with above 50% marks then you are eligible for IIT-JEE exam. 5% marks relaxation is provided for SC/ST category candidates.

Your age should be in between 17 to 25 years.

No you are not eligible for IIT JEE exam after diploma in mechanical engineering because IIT does not give lateral entry in 2nd year of course.But if your age does not become more than the age limit given in the IIT JEE then you can appear in IIT JEE otherwise it is not possible.
