Which course should I pursue if I am interested in Medical field? What is the duration of such courses?


Respected Sir, I am studying in class 10th and after completing it I want to pursue my career in Medical Field so I want to know which course should I pursue if I am interested in Medical field? What is the duration of such courses? Please answer as soon as possible.

You should choose science stream with PCB as a core subjects in (10+2) to go for medical field. You are also required to appear entrance exam NEET. You can choose MBBS or BDS as a medical course.

Course Duration
MBBS : 5.5 years including Intership
BDS : 4 years

NEET Important Dates
- Starting of Registration : 31st January, 2017
- Last Date of Registration : 1st March, 2017
- NEET Exam : 7th May, 2017
- Result Declaration : 8th June, 2017

B. D. S. (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) – 4 years

B. A. M. S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) – 5.5 years

B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) – 4 years

M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) – 3 years

D.M (Doctorate in Medicine) – 2 to 3 years

M.S. (Master of Surgery) – 3 years

B.Sc Nursing – 4 years

D.Pharm (Ayurvedic, Siddha Medicine) – 2 years

B.P.T (Physiotherapy) – 4.5 years

B.O.T (Occupational Therapy) – 3 years
