NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. This exam is for the science students who are interested to make a career in medical. This exam can be given to study both undergraduate courses like MBBS, BDS and postgraduate courses like MS,MD and so on. With this score you can look forward to studying in both government and private medical colleges.

As mentioned earlier you need to have science in class 12 as your compulsory subjects. The minimum qualification required to sit for this exam is that you need to be a higher secondary passed out candidate and in addition to that you need to secure 50% of marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics taken together.

Instead of 50% SC/ST candidates need to get 45% of marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics taken together. Students of both categories needs to pass separately in physics, chemistry and mathematics.

This year the exam is going to take place on 5th May 2013. The minimum age limit for general category candidates is 17 years. For reserved category candidates there is a five year age relaxation.

Multiple exams poses a lot of challenges but with NEET you have one single exam and exam pattern. So the syllabus can be covered and students will be able to get more time to get used to this exam and give their best shot.

A total of 180 questions will be there and you need to complete the whole paper in three hours. For the NEET UG exam questions will come from the following sections: Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. For every negative answer 1/4th marks will be deducted. So don't wild guess too much.

Hope this helps :-> :->
