Default Re: Is CPT done after passing 10th class?

CPT stands for the Common Proficiency Test. It is the first stage of Chartered Accountancy course.

Eligibility criteria:

No, after completing 10th board from a recognized board, you can only register for the Common Proficiency test but can not appear for the test.

A candidate can appear for the Common Proficiency test only after passing 10+2 exams from a recognized board.

Common Proficiency Test is conducted twice every year by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in the month of June and December.

Common Proficiency test is an objective test consisting of 200 questions from four subjects:

>>Economics.

>>Quantitative Aptitude.

>>Mercantile law.

>>Fundamentals of accounting.

In order to clear the CPT, you must score at least 30% marks in each subject mentioned above and overall 50% aggregate.

So, if you are willing to pursue Chartered Accountancy course, you should take commerce stream in 10+2 as it will help you a lot in cracking CPT exam.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
