what is criteria of getting job in ntpc????..please mention to me the criteria for it

NTPC Eligibility Criteria

Dear Friend

If your query is concerned with recruitment of B.Tech. degree holder students
as an Executive Engineer Trainee in NTPC then the eligibility criteria is discussed as follows.

Till last year NTPC used to conduct its own recruitment exam for the recruitment of
EET but from 2012 onwards GATE score shall be replace be the written examination
of NTPC.
So, the very first criteria is that the candidate must be appearing GATE.
On the basis of GATE score NTPC shall call eligible candidates for
Personal Interview or Group Discussion + Personal Interview.

The recruitment shall be done in five major Engineering disciplines.

Electrical Engg
Candidate should have passed B.Tech. in
Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Electrical, Instrumentation & Control /
Power Systems & High Voltage / Power Electronics / Power Engineering

Mechanical Engg
Candidate should have passed B.Tech. in
Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engg/ Production & Industrial Engg/
Thermal / Mechanical & Automation / Power Engineering

Civil Engg
Candidate should have passed B.Tech. in Civil Engineering

Instrumentation Engg
Candidate should have passed B.Tech. in
Electronics & Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Control

Electronics Engg
Candidate should have passed B.Tech. in
Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics & Power/ Power
Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/ Electrical & Electronics.

Also Final year students of B.Tech. are eligible for the recruitment.

Age Limit : 27 years
There is relaxation in age limit for OBC(NC layer), SC, ST and PWD candidates.
3 years relaxation for OBC(NC layer), 5 years for SC/ST and 10 years for PWD candidates.

% of Marks : Minimum 65% in B.Tech.
SC/ST/PWD candidates should have at least 55% marks in the B.Tech.

If you have already applied for GATE then you can apply for NTPC EET 2012,
from 6th January 2012 to 26th January 2012.

Dear pal,
NTPC is one of the public sector units. From the oncoming year the procedure of admitting graduates is changed .
The eligibility for appearing for the job are
1. The aspirant need to have completed his bachelor degree in the field of engineering
2. Only full time degree holders can apply
3. The aspirant need to have secured a aggregate 65%. For sc and st the percentage required is 55%.
4. Only GATE graduate can apply . Those who have registered for GATE can also apply .
5. The age limit for applying is 27. Relaxation is as per government norms.
The selection process involves short listing aspirants based on gate they will be called for group discussion followed by personnel interview.
The online registration starts on 6.1.2012. The last date for registring is 26.1.2012

i get 75%in madhamik and 74%in hs and 70%in b tech but in first year for my problem 2 year lack, so i can apply or not this ntpc company

Dear friend,
sorry to say, But minimum percentage required is 65%,
It should not be less than 65% marks taking average of all the Semesters/Years.

so, you can try after 4th year and increase your percentage.
As upper age limit is 29 years. Also you have to write GATE exam, As they select on the basis of GATE score.

sir im a SC candidate and getting 96.8% in gate and my rank is 3598. So please tell me is there any chance to get call from any PSU.
