for b.arch you have to give the AIEEE B.arh exam as well as the NATA exam.
Last date for submission is technically,30th september. NATA runs continously from 1st jan to 30th september.

Nata Entrance Exam
T Official site for NATA is www.nata.in
NATA can be given from 1st march till 30th September every year at designated test centers.
NATA can be taken any number of times in a year. This means if a student gets less score he can retake the test to improve his score by re-registering for the NATA by paying fees again. However NOT the best score, but the average of the scores is taken into consideration. For example a student scores 80/200 marks in the first attempt and 110/200 marks in the second attempt his over all score is (80+110)/2 = 95 marks. If in the second attempt he managed to score only 50/200 then his over all score would get reduced to (80+50)/2 = 65. So it is always better to prepare well for the exam and get good scores in the first attempt itself. NATA scores are valid for 2 years.

How to register for the test?
You need to carry the following documents when you go for the registration for NATA.
Std X or equivalent exam mark list - attested copy
One recent passport size color photograph
Any valid document of identification bearing photograph and signature of the candidate - attested copy
Test fees of Rs 800/- in the form of demand draft in favor of "council of Architecture" payable at New Delhi
Valid email address
Go to a nearest test centre.
Fill up and submit the NATA Pre-Registration form
Pay the fees
Get the online registration form filled
Get receipt cum appointment voucher with date and time from the Test Center

Note: Incase you feel you are not ready for taking NATA you have the option of Postponing/Rescheduling of the exam by paying Rs 200/

Admission process
Students have to submit their NATA scores along with HSC/12th Class/PUC mark lists to the respective state CET cells on or before the dead lines set by them.

Nata Syllabus & Paper Pattern

The test is in two parts
A paper based drawing test for two hours and computer based online aesthetic sensitivity test for one hour
The test measures aptitude of the candidate through two sections - a paper based section for drawing and computer based section for aesthetic sensitivity

Drawing Test

This is a two hour paper where candidate has to attempt two questions. One of the Aesthetic Sensitivity Test. This is computer based test of one hour where candidate has to answer 40 multiple choice questions. The aesthetic sensitivity test measures perception, imagination and observation, creativity and communication along with architectural awareness.
The Scoring Process
The drawing paper will be examined by the designated examiners over the internet in absence of the candidate and marks will be uploaded to NATA server. The drawing papers are scanned and uploaded to NATA server for the purpose, within four hours of printing the question paper. Usually three different examiners, from different parts of India, independently examine each question and their marks are averaged.
NATA administrator reserves the rights to moderate the marks given by the examiners to achieve parity.
During the computer based test, with adaptive testing, an examinee is administered a set of questions with a difficulty level that is specifically designed to match the examinee's ability level. The mathematical process for calculating a score in this situation incorporates the statistical properties of the questions, the examinee's performance on the questions, and the number of questions that are answered.
How the Sections of the Test Are Scored
Drawing Section
The primary emphasis in scoring the drawing section is on the candidate's drawing, imagination and observation skills. The candidate's sense of proportion & perspective is also evaluated together with sense for colour composition
Aesthetic Sensitivity Section
The candidate's score will depend on his / her performance on the questions given and on the number of questions answered in the time allotted
This section is computer adaptive, meaning that the computer selects questions based on the candidate's performance on preceding questions (When correct answer is given, next question will be of higher difficulty level whereas, if wrong answer is given next question is of lower difficulty level) and on the requirements of the test design. Test design factors that influence which questions are presented to the candidate include:

The statistical characteristics (Including difficulty level) of the questions already answered
The required variety of question types
The appropriate coverage of content
The final score depends on average difficulty level of all questions and of those questions answered correctly. E.g. person with correct answer for less number of questions of higher difficulty level may score higher marks than someone who answers more number of questions correctly but of lower difficulty level
Average time allotted to answer the question is 90 seconds and the countdown begins 30 seconds before the time ends, however, for certain questions depending upon their difficulty level, time allotted to provide the answer may be reduced to 60 seconds or may be extended to 120 seconds
There is no Negative marking in this test
No Revaluation is Possible with Either of the tests.

Nata Test shall commence from 15th March, 2012 and can be given on any working day till 31st August, 2012 at designated Test Centers. However, some test centers may open late or stop conducting tests even before this date. Please check with the center before you go for registration.

NATA Exam includes 2 tests:

Firstly the Aesthetic Sensitivity Test and then Drawing Test

Aesthetic Sensitivity Test:-

This test tests the analytic reasoning, architectural awareness, visualizing and imaginative skills

Drawing Test:-

On the other hand this tests your ability to sketch any kind of figure like Light and Shadow on object, not only that you must be good at perspective writing ,you should be abe to combine various dimensional objects. Your sense of colour composition and memory is also tested.

<registration process

The NATA Information Brochure (including Registration Form) is available at the designated branches of "Axis Bank" given in the attachment.

You will have to select a test center and approach to the particular test center well in advance of the Test date then there have to submit the application form and documents and book an appointment on the desired test date.

This exam is totally based on a first-come, first-serve basis.

So to get the desired test center and date you will have to approach the center earlier than others

Since there are more 2 months for writing the exam so anything can happen.

Below in the attachment there are test centers contact the test center you would like to write in and ask whether the date you wanted has free appointments.
If it’s not there, find out on which all dates there can be a appointment possible. Which ever date is possible fix that date.

Then go to the nearest axis bank whose location is given in the attachment and take the application form worth Rs.1000/- .
And then application form along with the documents have to be submitted in the center and get the appointment for taking the exam .

What is nata??

NATA stands for The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)

Is it necessary???

Those students whose desire is to do this bachelors course in Architecture (Bachelor of Architecture) in India have to take this test.

Its uses??

Its scores are used during the admission process in any authorized college.
This college can be anything Government, Govt. Aided & unaided schools / colleges of Architecture.
