Candidate who seeks to pursue Bachelor of Education from the Punjabi University, Patiala, through Department of Distance Education, must have completed the Bachelors Degree and/or Masters Degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks [40% marks in case of S.C./S.T./Physically Handicapped candidates]. The duration of the program is two years. Admission is through Entrance Test. Admission is for the in-service teachers only, who are working in Govt./Semi- Govt./recognised/affiliated schools and other Govt. Agencies which are approved by the N.C.T.E. and are situated in Punjab or the Union Territory of Chandigarh, having a minimum of two years regular teaching experience up to submission of Entrance Test Form.

The Important dates are as follows:

• Date of Entrance Test 01-07-2012.
• Date of submission of Entrance Test Form 08-06-2012 without late Fee.
• Date of submission of Entrance Test Form 12-06-2012 with late Fee of Rs. 500.
• Date of submission of Entrance Test Form 15-06-2012m with late Fee of Rs. 1,000.
• Date of submission of Entrance Test Form 22-06-2012 with late Fee of Rs. 2,000.
• Date of submission of Entrance Test Form 25-06-2012 with late Fee of Rs. 4,000.
