Punjabi University usually conducts an entrance test for the admission of candidates through distance education mode. Bachelor degree holders in education with a minimum of 55% marks can apply for this two year program. Entrance test is conducted in objective mode with a total of 100 questions. Eligible candidates have the option to submit applications via online/offline mode.

Eligibility for Punjabi University M.Ed (D.E) Entrance Exam

B.Ed holders with 55% marks can apply for M.Ed (D.E) under Punjabi University. Such candidates must have completed their graduate/post graduate level course with 45% marks. Candidates having any other equivalent degrees (other than B.Ed) with adequate professional experience can also apply. Minimum professional experience required is 2 years in any of the areas of education, research, or administration, necessarily under the State of Punjab/The Union Territory of Chandigarh.

Final year B.Ed graduates can also apply, provided they submit original B.Ed mark certificates at the time of counseling.

Exam Pattern for Punjabi University M.Ed (D.E) Entrance Exam

The entrance test is conducted in objective mode with time duration of 1 and half hours. There will be a total of 100 questions each carrying 1 mark each. Syllabus of the exam will be based on B.Ed topics as mentioned below.

Application Process for Punjabi University M.Ed (D.E) Entrance Exam

Students have the option to apply for the exam via online or offline. Fee payment must be made before submitting the application through either method. Application fee amounts to Rs. 1100/-. Fee payment can be made through any of the following channels

• Credit Card/Debit Card
• Demand Draft
• Cash Deposited with University Cashier
• Cash deposited in State Bank of Patiala

The demand draft must be taken in favor of Registrar, Punjabi University, Patiala. This must be payable at Patiala also. A pay in slip can be used for depositing cash with Bank of Patiala.

Other essentials before starting the application process are:

• A valid mobile Number
• A valid email address
• A valid account for making online payment

Online applications can be submitted through the official website of Punjabi University. An application ID will be generated for those who complete the step by step application process. Using this ID candidate will be able to generate the application-cum-entrance test form. Also, it should be maintained for future references.

In case of offline submission, application forms can be collected either from University office or from their web portal.
