Punjabi University came into existence in the year 1962 and it is a public university located in urban campus. The institution acts as one of the premier institution for higher education in the state of Punjab and it is working towards the development and enrichment of the language of Punjabi.

Punjabi University has invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of Library Restorer and the details regarding the notification issued by the university for the same are given below:

Name of the Vacancy: Library Restorer

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 35, which is divided as follows:

• 28 vacancies for university campus

• 07 vacancies for outside centres

Of these vacancies, 20 vacancies are reserved for general category candidates, 09 vacancies for SC candidates, 05 vacancies for BC candidates and 01 vacancy is reserved for handicapped person.

Pay Scale: Library Restorers will be appointed in the pay scale of Rs.5910-20200+GP of Rs.2000.

Eligibility requirements:

Educational qualification: Candidates must have completed their higher secondary or matriculation second division or Bachelor of Arts or Diploma in Library Science second division. According to the rules of the university, candidates must have passed Punjabi at the matriculation or at equivalent level.

Application fee:

Candidates can get the application form in person from the Incharge, University Enquiry & Information Centre, Punjabi University, Patiala – 147 002 on payment of Rs. 100 in cash or by sending a self-addressed envelope of 25×10 cms with postage worth Rs.25 affixed with DD for Rs.100 drawn in favor of the Registrar, Punjabi University, Patiala payable at Patiala and the name of the post for which the candidate applies. Even, application can be downloaded from the university’s website at www.punjabuniversity.ac.in and Rs.100 in this case should also be paid in the form of DD.
