Hello friend,

Minimum educational qualification- SSLC public examination passed with Tamil as one of the subjects.

Minimum eligible age- 21 years
Maximum eligible age- 30 years for candidates belonging to general category and 40 years for SCs,STs,MBCs/DCs, BCs .

Candidates, who fulfills the requirements, are eligible to write the written examination conducted by TNPSC for the post of Village Administrative Officer.
The application form are obtainable from the designated Post Offices or the Commission's office.

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has published the TNPSC VAO Exam 2010...

The notification was published on July 21, 2010 and the last date of recript of applications for the same is August 20th.

Dear Aspirant

VAO stands for Village Administrative Officer and the exam for this post is conducted by State Government Public Service Commissions in the respective ststes.

[B]Eligibility Criteria for VAO[\B]

1) You should have completed SSLC or any other equivalent course that is approved by the Government in a recognized institution.

2) You must be Indian citizen

3) You must be between 20 to 40 Years and you will have relaxation in the upper age limit

[B] Syllabus [\B]

The Exam contains 200 questions , 100 Questions asked from the local language like Tamil or from English up to SSLC level and other 100 Questions will be from General Studies ( It contains Aptitude, Current Affairs, History and Science up to the SSLC level)

Recent update TNPSC combined Group 4 and VAO exam and named it Combined Civil Service Exam 4 and Village administration portion from the syllabus is removed.
