today is dec 3rd and im in 12th standard doing cbse in kendriya vidyalaya.
i want to know how i shud apply for giving isat exam to enter iist...
where will i get the application form?
What are the eligibilities for it?
is it that u have to get a rank in iit after giving iitjee or is it that u only have to give iitjee?
Bcoz i think getting a rank in iit is gonna be tough.
is there any other ways to get into iist?
what is the min. percentage i must get in 12th?

IIST is conducting entrance from this year to admission to it aerospace and avionic engineering and general science courses.

entrance will be held on april 2010,details and other date regarding it is not yet published.

the ISAT exam detail is:

There will be two question papers, each of two hours duration. Both the question papers will be of objective type and will consist of three separate sections on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The detailed syllabi based on which ISAT-2010 will be conducted, for the three subjects, namely, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics will be included in the ISAT - 2010 Brochure which will be available in ISAT-2010 webpage from 21st December, 2009.

Schedule of ISAT-2010

The examination will be held on Friday, the April 16, 2010 as per details given below:
Paper-I: 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon (IST)
Paper-II: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM (IST)

Candidates belonging to GEN and OBC categories must secure at least 70% marks in aggregate.while, those belonging to SC,ST and PD categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have cleared 12th class in science stream to apply for this course.
Candidates have to appear in IIT for admission into this Institute.
Selection through IIT-JEE primary and extended lists.
Candidates placed in prepatory list for SC and ST are also eligible to register.
Financial assistance to all students to cover the complete cost of education.

Last date of registration for admission: June 26, 2009
Online registration of students: 4- 26 June, 2009
Publication of merit list for counseling: June 29, 2009
Counseling at thiruvananthapuram: July 20, 21 2009
Admission formalities in thiruvananthapuram: August 24, 25 2009
Commencement of course: August 26, 2009

for iit jee exam you must have 60% in 12th,
and without getting score or rank your name can not be in list,
and please do not afraid with this,work hard,you can get rank in iit jee.

last date has crossed dear.
after completing ur course you will be directly appointed in the ISRO as scientist or engineer.then you have to serve it for 5 years.

isat exam is being conducted on april16th...
it doesn't require any specail eligibilities..but yes u must have atleast 60%of marks..

Pattern:The questions of the admission test will be of the multi choice or objective type .
