Re: Difference between B.E and B.Tech?
Its a big quesion mark to the students these days as its beed found that some students place B.Tech a higher preference than B.E but the truth is that both are the same!!!
Its a myth that B.tech courses are superiour than the B.E courses. Basically the univerities which offer different courses along with engineering offer B.E courses while the other dedicated engineering institutes offer B.Tech courses some even say that B.E courses has more of theory and B.Tech has more of practicals. This might be true to some extent but the scope is the same |

well practically both are same and have same value,
its just a minor difference... some universities offer b.tech some B.E. ... generally former is given more value than the later. and is viewed with more respect... but there is no practical difference in job prospects, higher studies prospect whatsoever or curriculum.... only minor differences in curriculum. More reputed universities like IIT's NIT's generally give B.Tech. |

Re: Difference between B.E and B.Tech?
Both the courses are considered equivalent. The B.E course is more oriented in developing new technologies and advantages. The B.Tech course on the other hand focuses on using these developments and making the changes required to suit the project assigned. Either of the courses are considered good. Choose based on the profile that suits you.

Re: Difference between B.E and B.Tech?
Dear friend,
Your question is very genuin, most of the student want to know about this question. You know there are two courses MBA and PGDM both are equal degree but, why people call this by two names? In fact people say that MBA has more theory where as PGDM has more practicals. Same way B.E. has more theory where as B.Tech has more practicals. This is the openion of the people. But at last I would like to say that both are equal degree. |

Re: Difference between B.E and B.Tech?
BE is knowledge oriented.
B Tech is skill oriented. Now-a-days, nobody is caring of the difference. Its only University dependeny. Strictly speaking, BE is more theoritical and B Tech is more practical. In BE we study the reasons also in depth. In B Tech we concentrate on skills. Deciding what is greater degree is dependent on the application/job you are doing. Engineers feel that BE is greater then B Tech. Hands-on-experience is preferable to knowledge in many countries (not in INDIA. In India, knowledge is only provided. People are not interested in hands-on-experience.) In many countries, an Engineer without skill is not an Engineer. To focus this point, B Tech course was developed. This way B Tech is greater than BE. Now, no difference. |

Re: Difference between B.E and B.Tech?
Hi
There is not much difference between B.tech and B.E degree. In fact we can say that both degree are same and have same importance. The only difference we found in B.E and B.tech degree is, that a B.E degree is more of theoretical based course while the B.Tech degree is more of practical based course. More practical knowledge is given in B.Tech degree and more theoretical knowledge knowledge is given in B.E degree. Beside this both degrees are same and same subjects are taught in both degrees. |

Hello Dear,
B.E. stands for Bachelor of Engineering and B.Tech. stands for Bachelor of Technology. Both B.E. OR B.Tech. are engineering courses. Both B.E. OR B.Tech. are equivalent courses. Both B.E. OR B.Tech. courses are same, there is only one difference i.e. name. In both B.E. OR B.Tech. courses we study the same thing. All the Best |

Re: Difference between B.E and B.Tech?
There's is No difference between B.E and B.tech
Because B.E as seen from Full form B.E is Bachelor's of Engineering while B.Tech is Bachelor's of Technology.. It doesn't meant that B.tech goes Higher priority than B.E. Only Some Colleges of Indian prefer to keep B.E and Some colleges keep B.Tech. they are one another same. For Example:- I had my Engineering Degree with B.tech but my Brother is Doing with B.E, they all are same but Only the College prefer to which Degree they Give to student. |

Difference between B.E and B.Tech?
B.E Means - bachelor of Engineering And B.tech Means - Bachelor of Technology. But, There is No difference between B.E and B.Tech Degree. Both Are the Same. They are both Engineering Courses. The Difference Is Arise By Colleges Or Universities, Because Some Offering Engineering With Other Degrees, Called B.E And Other Colleges Offered Only Engineering Degrees Called B.Tech. So, B.tech has Some More Powerful Subjects Than B.E, Because In B.tech There Is More Practicle, But In B.E, You Study Theoritical Subjects. But, Basically Both are The Same Course And Same Scope. So Today Both Are Treated Same For Jobs. Rahul k |

Re: Difference between B.E and B.Tech?
A very good question!!!!!!!!!
Both are exactly equivalent, B. E. emphasize on In depth concept clarification of Facts. Whereas B.Tech. Emphasize on Practical exposure of Conceptual Knowledge. However Syllabus of both is Equal. Hence when applying for jobs they emphasize on practical knowledge more. As you are an engineer you should have done more workshops than others. |

hello friend
B.E and B.Tech both are equivalent. bachelor of engg. and bachelor of technology(B.E and B.tech) these are actually the term used by universities. but one difference is here that b.tech contains more practical knowledge than b.e. but this is also true that same jobs are avliable for both degree. |

Re: Difference between B.E and B.Tech?
There is not much difference between BE and B.TECH. Some universities provide BE degree and others B.TECH.
You will be on the same level after doing any of these. Job providing companies do not discriminate the students according to the degrees, they treat it the same. So no need to panic, you can get any of those degrees and have a great future ahead. |

Re: Difference between B.E and B.Tech?
The terms B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) and B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) are both undergraduate academic degrees awarded in the field of Engineering.
While there may be some variations in the specific usage and nomenclature across different countries and universities . B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering): B.E. programs typically have a more theoretical and broad-based approach to engineering education. B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology): B.Tech programs tend to have a more practical and application-oriented approach to engineering education. |
