Does 10th standard marks matter for getting admission in AIIMS?


I am a 11th std student and I wish to get admission in Aiims. Is the mark I secured in 10th std matter for getting an admission in Aiims?

AIIMS stands for All India Institute of Medical Sciences. AIIMS will be conducting its entrance test for admission to the MBBS course.

For All India Institute of Medical Sciences candidate must have passed 12th class from a recognized board of education with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. The minimum percentage required for All India Institute of Medical Sciences in your 12th class is 60%. 50% in the case of candidate belonging to reserved category. The minimum age of candidate must be 17 years. Also you need to appear in entrance examination to get admission in All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

AIIMS stands for All India Institute of Medical Sciences and it is one of the best medical colleges in India providing degree in undergraduate medical course i.e; MBBS and higher degree courses like M.D.,M.S, etc..

To be eligible for admission in the same institute for any degree course you will have to clear its respective entrance examination and being a Class 11th student the first option for you will be the option of pursuing MBBS degree course from the same institute for which you will have to qualify AIIMS MBBS entrance examination for which the minimum qualification which you must possess are as here under :-

* You must have the nationality of India with your age lying within 17 years to 25 years by the 31st December of that year in which you will seek admission in your undergraduate degree course.

* You must have completed your Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as main subjects with a minimum of 60% aggregate from a recognized board. Marks relaxation of 10% is allowed for reserved category candidates. Here marks in the Class 10th does not matters.

No, marks in 10th or 12th std does not matter alot to get admission in AIIMS MBBS course.

Candidates only need to have minimum 60% marks in PCB in 10+2 to appear for entrance examination relaxation for reserved category. The age limit is 17-25 years as on 31st December of year of appearing for examination.

So, you need to just prepare for entrance examination and after qualifying in entrance examination eligible for admission in it.

No your 10th standard marks are not countable in AIIMS admission only your 12th standard marks are taken as base to get admission in AIIMS. Minimum percentage required in 12th standard is 50% from a recognised board to appear in the entrance exam conducted by AIIMS Institute. Minimum age required to get admission is 17 years. Try to score best good marks in your 12th standard.

AIIMS stands for All India Institute of Medical Science.

AIIMS conducts its own entrance examination for admission of candidates in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. The eligibility criteria for AIIMS entrance exam is that candidate must have done 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects.

The minimum percentage of marks in 10+2 for AIIMS entrance exam is 60% for General and OBC candidates. It is 55% for SC/ST candidates. No, 10th standard marks does not matter for getting admission in AIIMS. Candidate must have attained minimum of 17 years on 31st December of year of admission.

No, to apply for All India Institute Of Medical Science Entrance Exam 10th marks not required.

Applicant should make sure eligibility criteria for AIIMS exam listed below:

Student should secure 60% from OBC/General categories and 50% for SC/ST in HSc.'s PCB group.

Age Limit: Applicant should be above 17 years and below 25 years of age.

Examination have no limitations for number of attempts.
