my name is yogesh , i completed bbm degree and i belongs to vakkaliga caste which is listed as obc but govt of karnataka has denied because i lives in city limits so what should i do now...

i live in maharastra so i get high education need obc caste certificate so hindu lingayat comes in obc

I was rejected for the ibps clerical interview as I doesn't belong to OBC 3b in central govt list .I had obc certificate from karnataka state govt
but they didnt accept it and didnt conduct any interview for me.my score is 92 (cut off is 63 for obc and general 67 )so we requested them to consider me in general but they did not listen.
I am really disapponted plz suggest me some solution..

Hello Friend,

You should check out if your community is included in central list of OBC. If yes, then you will be able to claim OBC scholarship. Also it will also depends on other norms like parents' annual income etc. These norms are different for different institutions. The link is http://www.ncbc.nic.in/Pdf/karnataka.pdf . I checked this pdf and found that many Lingayat castes are included. You need to check if your caste in included in it.

City limit is not at all concerned for caste certificate .vakkaliga can get OBC certificate provided the income limit of 4 lakhs. it's my view

Yes It does belong to OBC. It comes under 3B Category for the Govt of Karnataka and India.
