I want to know the Lingayath / Veerashaiva comes under OBC group in the Central Govt list to apply for IIT JEE / AIEEE entrance exams.

The central list of OBC castes (state wise) issued by central government is available at www.ncbc.nic.in or www.obcguru.com. However the state list of OBC caste issued by state governments for different states are different. All the castes of state list are not included in central list of OBCs.

Yes these categories are belongs to OBC categories. So when you apply for the IITJEE or AIEEE exam you need to send the xerox copy of the categories certificate.

1)Yes both comes under the Backward Caste

2)yes you need to apply under the OBC only while applying for IIT-JEE

ya a lot of students are waiting to know that. They r in doldrums as non creamy layer certificate is not being issues thought Veera Shaiva Lingayath comes under BC-D.

Yes, Lingayath/Veerashaiva of karnataka is comes under central list of OBC, Tahsil office is issuing caste certificate for this under resolution no./88/98/BCC NEW DELHI 6 DEC - 1999.

one lady has got job in central govt office in the category UNDER OBC (SADARA LINGAYATH) whether she is eligible for post in karnataka
