I want to do phd in accounts & financing can you tell me what is the duration and what kind of job i will get after doing phd.

Basically the P.hd course for Accounting and Financing duration is three years.
but it is a research course so the time period is all depend on the your research so if your research is complete on the three years then it is three years.
and if your technical papers are not published this degree is increased.

The career prospects for candidates holding Phd in accounts & finance degree is very bright. The candidate can become a professor or lecturer of accounts/finance discipline in commerce colleges or management institute.

He can also take up research work in finance discipline & find employment opportunities in government research organizations or universities.

He can even work in private or public companies as credit officer, finance officer, investment manager, president finance etc.

Well friend there is no such thing as fixed duration for phd... generally it takes 4-5 years to complete a phd .... it depends a lot on your guide under whom you are registered... and also on you yourself some people.... here you have to understand that P.hd, is research oriented subject involving lots of studies etc... and research can not be timebound
so take 5 years as the average time.
Careers after P.hd. are generally in the field of Education, universities., research centres
you will be eligible for becoming a professor in IIM's, IIT's,central Universities you can also work as consultalt to MNC's UN etc...
