BITSAT Eligiblity Criteria -

BITSAT Stands for Birla Institute of Technology and Science Aptitude Test and this examination was conducted by BITS Every year and to apply for this examination you need to complete your 12Th examination form a recognised Board and You should have obtained a minimum of 80% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th class examination OR at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and you must have adequate proficiency in English.

Final year 12Th candidates are also apply for BITSAT Examination. Those Who take improvement exams in PCM only, then in case you are not eligible.

So, If you have scored aggregate 80% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, then you are eligible for BITSAT Examination. The Notification of this examination was Published in the Month of December in the official website and you have to fill the application form before the last date of January and the examination was Generally conducted in the month of May, so please wait for the Notification and then apply for this examination and for More details please check the official website -

Eligibility Criteria for BITSAT 2012

• BITSAT stands for Birla Institute of Technology and science aptitude Test.
• This exam is conducted by BITs every year.
• The student must have passed class 12th or Equivalent from science stream.
• You must have either got 80% Aggregate or have got 60% marks in Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics.
• Generally the notification for this exam comes in the month of december.

Dear pal,
The eligibility criteria includes the academic background in which the aspirant must have completed the +2 exam with physics, maths, chemistry as your subjects.you need to have secured atleast 60% .
If you have attempted the exam more than once then your latest performance is only taken into account.
Aspirant who has completed exam this year and one who has completed the previous year only are eligible.

i hv got 82 % in class 12 th. mine subject was physics,cemistry,maths,english and hindi in class 12 th. but i got 66 marks in maths, 75 marks in physics and 85 marks in chemistry. please tell me can i eligible for BITSAT Exam 2012 ?

Important Dates for BITSAT Examination :-

Last Date to apply for Examination :- 15 / 02 / 2012

Test center allotment and announcement :- 25 / 02 / 2012

Reserve of Test dates :- 29 / 02 / 2012 to 20 / 03 / 2012

Online Test :- 10 / 05 / 2012 to 9 / 06 / 2012

B.I.T.S.A.T. :- Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test .


Candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board with Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics at least 75% of marks to get admission in B.I.T.S.

Only the students appearing 12th in this year and those who have passed their 12th standard, only those candidates are eligible for 2012 B.I.T.S. admission test.

Besides this the candidate must have some eligibility i.e. a adequate means fluent in spoken English.

Iam from Andhra pradesh.This year Board of Intermediate education,Hyderabad,Andhra Pradesh has permitted students of Intermediate 2nd year to take improvement/betterment as most of the students were failed/scored very less marks in physics/chemistry.
Now one student who has completed Intermediate successfully in 2012 and become eligible for BITSAT-2012 i.e.he got 60% in PCM,with aggregate of 75% in PCM,but he wants to appear for physics/chemistry to improve his overall %which may help him for other exams also.
My Querry is that whether will this effect his eligibility for bitsat-2012,?If so why?because he is already eligible for BITSAT-2012,even before appearing for the improvement .And the fact is that he is appearing for improvement only to improve his overall %,which may help him for other exams.

I have got required eligibility i.e more than 60% in each subject and an aggregate of more than 80% in AP board exams, but i would like to improve my score in physics as board of intermediate provided that facility this year.Does this effect eligibility for bitsat-2012?
