Nice to see That You are Interested to Become IAS officer !!

And to become IAS Officer you need to apply for the UPSC Civil services examination and to apply for this examination you need to complete your graduation degree course in any discipline form a recognised University.

>> But You are Pursuing your 2nd Year Engineering course, then you are not eligible to apply for UPSC Civil services examination.

So, please complete your Graduation degree course and then apply for UPSC Civil services examination.

The examination was Conducted into 2 Stages, Preliminary examination and Main examination, preliminary examination was Objective and there are 2 Papers in preliminary examination, So you have to cracked the preliminary examination first and then you are eligible to sit in Main examination.

>> And To apply for this examination your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

>> General candidates may apply for this examination only 4 Times, OBC Candidates may attempt 7 Times and No Limits for SC/ST Candidates.

So, Please apply for this examination after completing your Graduation degree course or when you are pursuing your Final year Graduation course.

You are now in 2nd year so after completion of your Graduation you are eligible for IAS exam.

This exam is conducted by UPSC in onece time in year.

Minimum eligibility criteria for IAS entrance examination :

Age limitation :The candidate age must be within 21 to 30 years while applying the form for IAS examination.

Procedure :There are two steps here for this entrance examination

1.Preliminary :
In this part there will be subjective question.
2.Main :Here you will have to choice an optional paper.

IAS (Indian Administrative Services) is basically for those who are firmly determined for dedication of themselves towards the own country.

Eligibility Criteria for IAS

According to the UPSC Guidelines..candidates who satisfy the following conditions can apply for the Civil Services Exam :-

1) You should be a graduate in any stream from a recognized college

2) You should be within the age limit of 21-30 years if you belong to General category,21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST

The maximum number of attempts permitted for general category is 4,for OBC its 7 and for SC/ST there is no limit..

The exam consists of 2 rounds :-

1) Prelims :- This round consists of 2 objective papers which will test your aptitude,general knowledge and current affairs..

2) Mains :- This round consists of one subjective paper which will test your knowledge of your graduation subjects..

If you clear both the rounds then you will be called for the interview and the final selection..

To apply for the IAS you have to write UPSC exam which requires some eligibility. Those are ,you must be completed your graduation , and the age should be between 21 to 30 years.

I.A.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Age should be in between 21-30 year. For ST/SC candidate age should be in between 21-33 year.

You can apply online or offline.
The Form cost is just 20 Rs.
