Re: Eligibility criteria to join NIT after scoring 56% in 12th?
Dear friend,
You can't join any NIT directly. for this you have to appear in an entrance exam named as AIEEE. it means All India Engineering Entrance Examination. it is conducted by CBSE to take admission in 30 NITs and various government and private college/institute in India. AIEEE has been started in 2002. eligibility to appear in this exam is passed/appeared in 12th with Physics and Mathematics as a main subject. and third subject may be one of these - chemistry, biology, computer science. there is also reservation for OBC and SC/ST/PH candidates in NITs. as you said that you belong to OBC, it can be said that you will have to score under 30000 AIR in AIEEE to get any NIT of these 30 NITs. Best of Luck |

Re: Eligibility criteria to join NIT after scoring 56% in 12th?
Hello Friend,
For getting into NIT's the only way is to Crack AIEEE with very good Rank and score. It is the only way to get admission in Any NIT's. As the number of NIT's and IIIT's have been increased seats also increased. You can get into NIT if your All India Rank is at least within 12,000 and your state rank will not be helpful unless your All Indian Rank is very good. If you are from any backward community or If you have any reservation you apply through that because it would be very helpful to you. The competition will be very high to get seat in NIT's or IIT's. You have to work very hard to crack in NIT's.If you got seat In NIT your future will be very good. You can earn high salaries after completing course in NIT. All The Best... |

Earlier it was AIEEE, now Jeemain & JEE (advanced), so whether a candidate can get admission to NIT if he gets a rank around 10000 in JEE (MAIN) and does not appear for JEE (advanced ) kindly clarify.

I belong to the OC community. I secured 56 in JEE MAIN and 97.5% in BOARD EXAM. Using the RANK PREDICTOR TOOL i found my rank to be from 15000-29500. Will I get a seat in one of the NIT'S eventhough I have not qualified in JEE MAINS?
