i am a obc candidate in 12th 56% pre... i want to know i am eligility for nit or not....

Dear friend,
You can't join any NIT directly. for this you have to appear in an entrance exam named as AIEEE. it means All India Engineering Entrance Examination. it is conducted by CBSE to take admission in 30 NITs and various government and private college/institute in India.

AIEEE has been started in 2002. eligibility to appear in this exam is passed/appeared in 12th with Physics and Mathematics as a main subject. and third subject may be one of these - chemistry, biology, computer science.

there is also reservation for OBC and SC/ST/PH candidates in NITs. as you said that you belong to OBC, it can be said that you will have to score under 30000 AIR in AIEEE to get any NIT of these 30 NITs.

Eligibility For AIEEE

Admissions to all the NITs (National Institute of Technology) take place through the AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Exam)

In order to appear for the AIEEE you must fulfill the following conditions :-

1) You should be a 12th pass out with 50% aggregate or above in Physics,Chemistry and Maths

2) You are only eligible to appear 3 times in the exam..first one in teh year of passing of 12th and the next 2 in the next 2 consecutive years..

An AIR(All India Rank) in the top 10,000 shall ensure a place for you in an NIT..

NOTE :- The cut-offs or the minimum rank for which students are enrolled varies in every NIT..

hi dear,
for finding NIT, first you qualify AIEEE exam and you are eligible for AIEEE exam.
because,its minimum eligibility is passing 12th exam with 50% from pCM group.
if you scored good then you get NITs otherwise you can take admission in private colleges
if your rank lie between 1-25000 then you take admission in NITs colleges.
its demand is also abroad every where like IIT .

If you wanted to join NIT then you must appear in the AIEEE Exam and score good and come in the initial ranks of AIEEE.

You have to first apply for the AIEEE exam.

AIEEE stands for [SIZE="3"]ALL INDIAN ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAMINATION[/SIZE] and it is conducted by CBSE for the admission of candidates in the engineering colleges of the country.

It is conducted every year in the month of April.

[SIZE="4"]THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR AIEEE EXAM IS:[/SIZE]

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

You must have done 12th class and Score at least 50% marks for general category and 40% marks for Reserved categories.

If you are appearing for the 12th exams then also you are eligible for the Exam.

AGE CRITERIA: Your age must be between 17 – 25 years and five years age relaxation for the SC, ST and PH candidates.

There are two types of papers in the AIEEE EXAM:

Paper I

• Physics
• Chemistry
• Mathematics

The questions from these topics shall be of the objective type and all shall have equal weightage.

Paper II

• Mathematics
• Aptitude Test
• Drawing

This test is find out the observation skills, imagination, innovative skills, observation and architectural awareness of the applicant.

Paper -II is for the B.ARCH or B.PLANNING so those who are interested can fill the forms.

To apply for the exam you can do it by ONLINE from the official website of CBSE.You can get the application from the CBSE head office or from the chosen branches of the Syndicate Bank or other Designated Institutions.

Yes you are eligible for N.I.T after scoring 56% in 12th.
For N.I.T you have to qualify the A.I.E.E.E exam.

A.I.E.E.E exam is conducted by C.B.S.E once in a year.

It is a national level exam.

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass 12th with Physics, chemistry and maths with minimum 50% marks.
> Must be above 17 year and below 25 year.
> Must be citizen of India.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR IIT/JEE WITHOUT ANY COACHING? AND HOW MANY HOURS TO STUDY?

Earlier it was AIEEE, now Jeemain & JEE (advanced), so whether a candidate can get admission to NIT if he gets a rank around 10000 in JEE (MAIN) and does not appear for JEE (advanced ) kindly clarify.

i secured 102 marks in jee mains and had 90 percent in maths,phy,chemis and inter 91%....iam OBC our qualifying marks are 70 .igot 102........can i get seat in nit colleges
