I got 73% in 10th, 60% in PCM in 12th and my marks in B.Tech is 7.2.
Am I eligible for Tcs or not...

You are absolutely eligible for Not only TCS but also all reputated MNC...
Most of the IT company demand 60% overall in all level,and you have it,so prepare yourself very much for aptitude and Interview...

Ofcourse you are eligible for placement in TCS and also you are eligible for IBM. Some years back generally student used to place in good IT companies on behalf of great percentages in their technical degree in which they wanted to make a carrior.But nowadays percentage is not a big matter.
You just have good languages skills as C,C++, java and .net and databases as oracle(demanded in good IT companies) and sql so that you can be placed in good IT company.So better to sharp your above skills and just leave the worry about percentage matter.

i have got 63% in 10th 57% in plus two had two years gap for preparing for medical as per my interest and had 7.2 in btech am i elegible for tcs

Nice to see you are so soon eager about placements.... Being placed in TCS doesnt need that you have to be a expert in computer languages..... We had TCS 3 months back in our campus, the people who cleared the first aptitude round all got selected for the company this makes clear that you dont have to be a expert in computer languages..... but its again our duty to be well versed in computer languages cause ultimately when you get in to TCS or any other MNC software companies we have to work with different computer languages... so my advice to you will start studying any one of the common language like C,C++, JAVA etc anything it may be and be strong in that one language then sure shot you will shine in the company which you are going to be in...hope the info. helps... Current arrears are not allowed in TCS but backlogs are sometimes accepted in TCS depending upon the college grading... am sure you will clear that one paper which you have....ALL THE BEST...

Am sorry pramod you are not eligible to attend the interview for TCS cause you need 60 % in both 10th and 12th.... but dont have to worry as you are doing 3rd yr now you have lot of opportunities in your hand just put start to put your hard work now and start working in some projects which shows you more than everyone... there are lot of companies out which sees only the projects which students have done and give them job.. so try to concentrate on your studies and do some good project with the help of your teachers and seniors... you can very well join small companies with the help of your project and then jump to TCS when you get 2 or 3 yrs experience that time they wont see your marks in 10th and 12th.....

sorry to say but you can not take campus placement in TCS as their criteria is

minimum 60% in class 10 th and 12th .

but it does not mean that you can not join TCS at all you can but after getting some experience .

Eligibility criteria for placement in TCS are as follows: -

1. Eligibility – Pass B.E. or B.Tech. or B.Sc or MCA or M.E. or M.Tech. or M.S. or M.Sc with minimum 65 % aggregate marks from a regonised institute / university.

2. No standing backlogs are allowed.

3. GAP should not be more than 2 years in the education.

4. M.Tech. and MCA students having minimum 3 years experience.

5. 10 th & 12 th standard - Minimum 60 % aggregate marks from a regonised board.

Sorry you are not eligible for TCS because they want all over 60% means 10th, 12th, B.E/B.TECH.

So don;t get upset and try for other companies.

TCS (TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICE) needs overall 60% in 10th, 12th and B.TECH, but you dont have more than 60% in 10th, so you are not eligible for it.

You have a minimum 60% in through out career.And There No backlogs at the times of appearing TCS.And Gap in studies upto 2 yrs is permitted with valid reason only.And you have a consistent marks in your career.

in 10th i have 70.5%,in 12th i have 58% but i have 2 acadmic yr drops.and still in B.tech 2nd yr.am i eligible to sit in tcs?

I have 84% 10th in standard, 92% in 12th and 77% in B.Tech. BUt our B.tech college is not having campus placement with TCS. Hw can i consult TCS. And i heard that there wl be only HR for the candifates who have consistently 75%. Is it true ? Am i eligible for that?

You are eligible for TCS because the eligibility criteri for TCS :
1. minimum 60% marks in B.Tech, 10th and in 12th.
2. there are no more then two year gap in the academic year.
According to eligibility criteria you are eligible for TCS recruitment. I wish you will get success in the TCS recruitment.

for freshers there must be score of above 60 % throughtout your 10 th, 12 th , and your graduation.
there should be no backlogs in your graduations.
also , u should have not applied to any tcs jobs in last 8 months atleast.

Sorry, you are not eligible to appear for TCS cause you have to have 60% in 10th,12th and B.Tech without any current arrears, but you dont have to worry cause there are many companies which does not see the marks but your performance as you are now in 2nd year just put your hard work to clear the current papers and join in some certification course which increases your resume weightage cause some small companies will take students who have finished the certification course with good marks then after working for sometime you can jump into big companies like TCS with the experience you gained....

You need exactly 60% or more arks in 10th and 12th standard and 60 % in graduation without a gap of more than 2 years between the studies.
Candidates even with 59.9% are not eligible to apply for TCS.

Am sorry, you are not eligible for TCS because the eligibility criteria for TCS campus placement is 60 % in 10th, 12th, UG and PG, but you have only 50 % in B.Sc... but you dont have to worry because there many small companies with good pay ready to offer job based on performance and not with marks so try to get in those companies for sometime gain some experience and then jump into big companies like TCS...

There is no seperate concession for CBSE students... everyone must have 60 % and above in 10th, 12th, UG and PG... because they need students who are consistent with the marks throughout the studies...

There is no doubt at all. You are surely eligible for TCS.

Infact many persons suffer with percentages in the qualifying examinations. Students can not take it serious at the time of pursuing. But by the time they enter to placements, they will come to know the value of those marks.

-Because for TCS in most cases the cut-off is 60%. If a candidate gets 59.5% in qualifying examination also, the candidate will not be eligible to appear for the job recruitment process.

So the candidate will not be given a chance whatever the skills he is having.

TCS recruits mainly by selection procedure of
-Written test
-Technical interview
-HR interview

Written test focus on aptitude type of questions.
Technical interview is purely on subject knowledge
HR interview to understand your personality and several type of skills
