Re: Eligibility for csir-net exam if studying B.E Biotechnology
Dear friend,
The eligibility criteria to appear in the CSIR-NET exam is: M.Sc. or Equivalent degree under the subjects, with minimum 55% marks for General & OBC candidates, 50% for SC/ST candidates. For B.E students there is opportunity from CSIR to apply for GATE-JRF program. Candidates who have passed their B.E/B.Tech and have valid GATE score only they can apply for this junior fellowship program. The candidates then have to pursue Phd in their respective subjects. So being a B.E in biotechnology you cannot appear for CSIR-NET exam. Good luck! |

Sorry dear, you cannot apply for CSIR-UGC NET exam
Minimum qualification required for applying this exam will be Master's Degree or its equivalent from a recognized University with 55% marks. So, you have to complete M.Tech then try for it. Regards |

Re: Eligibility for csir-net exam if studying B.E Biotechnology
hello friend,
The eligibility to apply for the CSIR-NET exam is to have a Master's degree in physical science/life science/social science/earth science etc. This exam is conducted by the UGC every year and a fellowship is also arrranged for the students. But biotechnology students are not eligible to write this exam. Good luck... |

Earth Atmospheric Ocean and Planetary Sciences 3. Life Sciences 4. Mathematical Sciences 5. Physical Sciences Since your BTech is equivalent to MSc degree and subjects mentioned above would make you eligible for this exam Otherwise you can also try for UGC-NET, there you will find your subject of choice. |
