CBI is a specialised wing in many state police forces in India.

Other branches of the CBI are

• State Crime Investigation Bureau
• Finger Print Bureau
• and Scientific Section.

To join in CBI you need to write the EXAM conducted by UPSC...!!
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) recruits Police personnel through the Civil Services Examination in three level

• (IPS cadre)
• State Public Service Commissions
• and by the District Police Headquarters.

Some of the police personnel selected via either of these routes are appointed by the CBI on a regular posting if they have the requisite aptitude.
No separate notifications are issued for recruitment to the CBI.

Dear Aspirant

It is to Inform you that You can apply for CBI{Central Bureau of Investigation} only after completing your Bachelor Degree. As a final year student you can not apply for CBI Entrance exam because degree is needed at the time of Application process for CBI exam.



To become CBI officer you will have to attend CGPE{Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam} test conducted bySSC{Staff Selection Commission} of India every year.


There are following post in CBI:-

1. Senior Public Prosecutor (SPP).
2. Sub-Inspector
3. Assistant Public Prosecutor

Eligibility condition for CBI exam:
-----------------------------------

• You should have completed bachelors degree in any strem from a recognized Institute/University.
  
• Final year students are not allowed to appear for the exam
  
• Your age must be between 21 to 27 years (relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC in upper age limit).
