Generally graduation with 50% aggregate is enough to appear in exam conducted for CBI, here is detail about exam-
-paper 1st (general test) duration 2 hr.
*genreal intelligence and reasoning-50 marks
*general awareness-75
*numerical ability-75
Total=200 marks

-paper 2nd (english language) duration 2 hr.
*language comprehension, communication/writing=200 marks

Qualification and details of the exam are

CBI: Central Bureau of Investigation

This is one of the Trusted Investigation group of India

But you have to undergo a long process as you have to write CSE(Civils Examination)in the integrated services of the CSE or there is one more method that is SSC(Staff Selection Committee exam) with this exam too

The Eligibility regarding age is 21-27 years

To get jobs in some of the important post of bureau

you should complete your graduation in criminology field

your degree must be from a recognized Indian University.

you can enter into CBI as Inspector but the high level jobs are by IPS
officers only

SSC is also not a simple exam it also consists of 4 stages you have to clear all of them

Then only you will get placed in CBI department

Some times the candidates with LAW background also get a chance to enter in to cbi

this is all about CBI intake of Personnel

Crime Branch CBI (Central bureau of Investigation) is a specialized wing in many state police forces in India of their Criminal Investigation Department .

Other branches of the CBI are

• State Crime Investigation Bureau
• Finger Print Bureau
• and Scientific Section.

To join in CBI you need to write the CGPE EXAM conducted by UPSC...!!
and minimum qualification for that is to be Graduate..

for that you need to have good physical strength also like any armed force..

since it doesnot have any fix date for exam better to refer upsc website i.e www.upsc.gov.in for any notification .......

How to join CBI or CID?

A candidate can apply for the CBI or CID through SSC Combined Graduate Preliminary Examination. This examination is conducted by the SSC every
year. You can apply for this examination after the completion of your
graduation. The eligibility criteria required for this examination is given
below.

Education Qualification
To apply for this examination a candidate should be graduate in any discipline
from a recognized university.
Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible for this examination.

Age Limit
To apply for this examination a candidate age should be between
20 and 27 years.

Application Details
Candidate has to type the application given in the advertisement on a
A4 size paper. That application is send at the respective address.

To be a part of a CBI you have to give SSC exam i.e Staff Selection Commission

Eligibility

You must posses a degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
You age should be between 20-25 years .

Examination consist of mainly two part :

Part I
Written Examination carrying: 400 marks

Part II
Personality Test (Interview): 100 marks.

Paper-I consists of

General Intelligence and Reasoning
General Awareness
Numerical Ability

Paper-II consist of :

English Language

Hi,

The idea of joining CBI is highly commendable. You will be involved to serve the country in all means.Basically if you want to join Criminal Bureau of Investigation you must attend CGPF exam which is to be conducted by SSC every year.

The eligibility criteria for attempting that exam is
1.You need to be citizen of india
2.Should have graduation qualification form any recognized universoty of India
3.Minimum age is 21 years

There are some relaxations for OBC\SC\ST candidates accroding to reservation i.e. 5-7 years

The maximum number of attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited.

The process of screening of candidates::
Written Test::Phase One

General question ( 200marks)
English (200 marks)

Personal Interview-Phase Two (100 marks).

You need to be graduate in order to appear for Sub Inspector post in CBI Departments.
You have to appear for SSC Combined Graduate level Examination , CBI SI Post comes under CGL Examination.
Age limit::
20-27 year
relaxation in upper Age
5 year upper age relaxation for SC/ST Category
3 year for obc category
