It clearly depends on what exam you need to write as you haven't even mentioned your qualification to suggest you about it. Anyways to tell about these exams it is that these both exams are known as Indian Civil Service exams and these exam is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) and is conducted every year for candidate to join for the post of IAS or IPS officer. IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service IPS stands for Indian Police Service To apply for these exams you need to satisfy the framed criteira's for the exams and they include such as: >> Nationality >> Age Limit >> Education Qualification >> Physical Standard (IPS) For both these exams the criteira's are same except that you need to be physically fit for writing the IPS exam Nationality: ~ You need to be a citizen of India Age Limit: ~ The candidate who are from General Category should have 21-30 years of age ~ The candidate of Sc/St should have 21-35 years of age ~ For OBC candidate it is 21-33 years and for Ex-service men they get 5 years exception from the prescribed limits. Education qualification: ~ It is that the candidate appearing for the IAS/IPS exam must have completed a degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a fair percentage. Physical Standard: If you are satisfying the needed qualification for the exams, then you can apply for any of them If you need more information regarding these exam check at the official site of UPSC at http://www.upsc.gov.in ALL THE BEST |
